Well, if you like horror/action type of dramas, I think you will like it. It has a dark vibe, like some OCN dramas. The cast is great, the story is interesting but it was sort of rushed. There will probably be a season 2.
But does it consider the age we have watched it (or added the rating) or our current age? For example I happen to turn 26 (wow, now I belong to a different age group) and I have probably rated Healer like 3-4 years ago. Anyway, just a random though from a fellow research-doing-person.
After watching the first ep, here goes a short review of mine for those who are planning on watching this. I seriously don't like Ma Hwi Young and it is only the first episode. On the other hand, Jun Woo is such a unique and loveable character, he broke my heart (and it is only the first episode, again). The overall vibe reminded me of my own not-so-great high school experience. It is cool to see a high school themed drama without all the sugarcoating.
I was afraid that this season would end up shitty, but hey, I think this can be even better. Even I am shocked. Dare I say, this season might save 2019 crime dramas for me. (I hope I didn't jinx it by saying that)
I was not expecting to like the first episode this much. I went in blind, and I don't usually like noona romances. It has a very mature vibe, and it sort of reminded me of My Mister. I'm now hoping that they won't ruin it on the second half. I'm starting to have a "what the hell was that ending" syndrome because of all the sloppy endings.
I wasn't expecting to like this drama so much... I think it will remain in my heart for a long time. Such a cleverly written scenario. It got the young audience's attention with the fantasy-romance pilot and provided them a much deep story, a story they were not expecting at all. It made me think about how I'm living my life. It was funny, sad, and just beautiful, like its name.
why does it seem like only I'm enjoying this plot? it is very emotional, funny, and most of all, DIFFERENT you…
JOON HA-YAA PLEASE LETS BE HAPPY AT THE END OF ALL THIS MESS :'< my heart seriously hurts. Nam Joo Hyuk seriously improved his acting, I cried with him on episode 9 :< soft baby...
why does it seem like only I'm enjoying this plot? it is very emotional, funny, and most of all, DIFFERENT you guys. it doesn't remind me of any drama I have watched before. so give it a try before you decide you don't want to see an old actress for a whole drama. I truly wish there were more episodes. in my opinion, the story is very deep and interesting, especially joon ha's story.
it reminds me that one drama(children of a lesser god, ocn drama again) that didn't get subbed while airing and then it got subs but they were VERY bad, so I ended up not being able to watch it... hopefully this doesn't end up like that too. I was waiting for it :<
he's not creepy. He's a nice guy and very caring towards the children. It's just he got sooo destroyed during…
Well, I was going to say that he is not creepy at all too, but then I thought I shouldn't get into discussion because of individual ideas. Anyway, having done a masters on psychology, I can only say it is predictable that he would end up the way he is. firstly, he forgot about his trauma and then remembered it. This is the biggest issue here. To make it simple, his brain just couldn't handle it and decided to shove it in his unconscious. He couldn't learn to find a coping method, and he obviously couldn't get treatment for it too. What is more, he couldn't escape the situation and he was continuously abused emotionally, physically, and sexually. His way of dealing (or coping if you prefer), is not healthy, which thinking about his situation, is what you can expect. He has his reasons in his head, so we as viewers can see his way of thinking. His story is just sad... In my opinion, a person can be creepy if their way of acting cannot be predicted, or they are psychotic without reason. Either way, "creepy" is not the way I would describe Eunho.
https://ww.dramabus.com/drama/priest/episode-1/ If you watch it, tell me if it is a good start please ! I think…
Okay, here comes the response! It was a good start, it had a very different vibe from the guest. I think it will still go case-by-case like the guest but I think there won't be any "big spirits to get revenge from". They also tied medical aspect very well. But let me warn you, it is relatively more graphic and darker than the guest (I didn't know it was possible tbh).

(Sorry for the long comment folks. Cheers!)
