I just binge-watched all 5 episodes today and I would say that even though it has some cliche themes, it isn’t boring and truly predictable at all. The FL is not just cheerful either, she is actually smart, independent and STRONG as well. After all this is also just my own opinion, but I did enjoy the first 5 episodes today.

Is the drama related to Love In Flames Of War in any way? I just saw that Shawn Dou who played the ml in that drama is here as well??

1) At the very start they decide to cooperate together and then later on their love for each other grows even more
2) I wouldn’t really say that there are any breakups- overall they have a quite healthy relationship
3) SO CUTE! They both want the best for each other and would always rather sacrifice themselves for the other- it’s quite heartwrenching to watch actually

6) Somewhat, but not much at all( there is Xie YongEr and the imperial physician and also a subtle relationship between Cen Jin( the sick scholar) and the crossdresser
Besides romance the drama also have a lot of wholesome friendships and relationships between the characters- these are also quite cute

Was XHD the biological father of the crown prince? And did XHD/ZS actually live two lives at the same time or what? I didn’t really get the ending. How would he have a life back in the modern world, if he has spent half of his life in the book?
Something else I noticed was the concept of “home” too that was repeated throughout the story. I don’t if it actually has any meaning though

I just ended this drama. Really enjoyed the last episodes as well. CL’s acting being chef’s kiss as always:)
