I feel the exact same way! It really bothers me how LJQ essentially forced SJL into a marriage and that without even telling her! I personally also rooted for Scholar Han since he seems like a decent guy and capable of giving SJL a happy, stable and safe life. It’s not that I don’t like LJQ at all. I just hate the fact that his love is almost like an obsession and the fact that it is not yet a MUTUAL love😭

Xu Kai’s acting never disappoints. Yan Rui is such a menace, but so lovesick and caring in front of XQY. Zhou Ye is doing such a good job with her character. Interesting how she actually kinda looks like her mother in the drama. I’m also looking forward to see how the plot of Yan Rui vs Shen Run will play out.So far a good watch. Stable, interesting and full of subtle details in both the story but escpecially also in the relationship between the leads…

I personally went into this with zero expectations but so far it has managed to catch my interest. The political intrigue is actually realistic as well as captivating and Meng Tinghui is such a badass too!
