Cdrama land has dished out some really good romance shows this year and I am eternally grateful. Back here again reminiscing some of the best scenes + OSTs 💯
I loved their OST. I don't know why some were complaining that SRQ had a better OST.
Glad to see you here! The complaints people had abt this show were ridiculous 😅. I, on the other hand was having the time of my life....romance plus politics plus ZLH and ZJM 👌♥️... couldn't ask for better tbh
Y'all keep posting these without addressing my initial concern, which is the way FL character was written.
I haven't read the book and my analysis is going by what was presented in the drama. Can't read every book for every drama that I watch realistically speaking.
I am however concerned about your psychological analysis of women who grow up without fathers. What makes you think this situation is worse for women??? This is the sort of underlying mysogynsm that I initially said is a running theme in the writing. Boys are affected too, hell anyone is affected when they grow up without a parent whether male/female. Rationalisation of FL's actions is not what this discussion is about. The problem I have is with the premise. And of course the way the book was probably adapted to the screen possibly glossing over a lot of things that made the final product, though good by most standards still left that iffy feeling that something was amiss.
She went to inform the Yan soldiers To save Zhang Zhe who were going to fall into a trap (where the other villain was waiting with explosives)....then they were only saved because ML intervened.
It also turns out she may have misunderstood the ML that he'd killed her in her previous life again plot blaming FL for events that follow in her present life since she's scared of him therefore she foils some of his plans in the process.
It took 32 episodes before she finally understood ML's intentions, that was too much for someone who was supposed to have her wits about her. All the while still making googly eyes on 2ML. It was a little too frustrating to watch as a viewer that I almost shipped her with 2ML.
ML was probably more evil than FL but he had a 'good reason' for being so whereas FL's character there was no attempt by the writers to justify why she was like that in her previous life like why????
I love cdramas but the misogynistic writing needs to stop already. The FL always gets a character that aggravates the audience due to poor decision making....like WHY DOES IT HAPPEN IN ALMOST EVERY DRAMA????? ITS ANNOYING 😤. Some of the most beloved dramas are like this. In Joy of Life, every character was awesome except FL's. MLs, no matter how unjustified always get redeeming qualities.
I'm not asking for a perfect Female character.....but.....oh well...perhaps I need to start writing novels now 😂
If you think it has great plot, than I got nothing for you cuz you are entitled to your opinion but it doesn't…
Whoa! Triggered much??? Why don't you come back to comment once you understand the word 'MOST'. And that Kdrama commentary was absolutely uncalled for. Since you've seen my watchlist you should already know what I rated those dramas.
And whilst we at it, I have seen that many cdramas' and I am totally qualified to give my opinion.
Learn to make your points respectfully so we can actually discuss the drama
What exactly do people want??? Most cdramas are unserious or suffer from poor production issues that even top billing actors have often times fallen victim to. Now comes along a quality production with awesome leads great plot and tight script. But y'all act like specialist critics deterring would-be viewers from watching this masterpiece. Some of us dont have the context of the original novel of which I think its a blessing as is. I love this role for Mai Mai as she's absolutely acing it...now on ep 30 and still not bored.
Of course if you don't like palace politics plots and counter-plots then its probably not for you.
Hats off to Zhao Jin Mai for taking the role of such a complex decisive character at the risk of being hated....some ppl have a hard time separating the actress from the role. Her role in Stand by me almost gave me an aneurysm 😅
Since I started watching this series I was curious who of the two male main leads does the majority prefer? I…
To me, though Wang Yu was a man's man and an ideal 'leader' he seemed obsessed with wanting 'the crown' in order to protect the people he cared about, even if it meant marrying his enemy's niece to accomplish this. When it came to Yang, he knew she was a useful ally until he found out 'he' was a woman then suddenly she became the 'damsel in distress'. I get that he wanted to protect her but she was no ornament obviously. Yang also seemed to admire and respect Wang Yu but not necessarily in love
Ta Hwan, growing up in a vicious palatial setting wanted nothing to do with power let alone know how to weild it. He, however recognised Yang's abilities and only hung on to power to allow her to accomplish the seemingly impossible. He dared to love even though his born status would never allow him to indulge in such emotions. He was overly needy of Yang's love which she probably did recognise but didn't want to admit until the very end....He would give up the world for his only love..
If I had my way, I would have wanted her with Taltal . They a tacit understanding and in all fairness he seemed to have the most love for Yang for which he expected nothing in return 😭. As a viewer I didn't notice I was already rooting for the pair until that soul crushing announcement at the very end. My heart literally broke at this realisation as I was too focused on the 2 MLs the whole time💔
I'm in love with Princess' palace shenanigans....always ready to one-up the villains with her impassioned speeches! Her and the Emperor make a great team, daring to fight the nobles for the greater good of the people.
A misunderstood but brilliant piece of art. God forbid if characters are somewhat grey (which most ppl are by nature anyway) . Why would he love her from the beginning when the only motivation to be with her was to prevent their presumed death? He was unlikely to get a wife given his lifestyle and how 'self-centred' he was.
Ma Rin was initially infatuated and desperate for affection and slowly faced reality that she needed to love herself first before giving her heart to someone else.
So Jun thought he was rich and independent and was 'above' love and feelings. He ended up obsessing about the future, failing to live in the present with the one who he didn't realise he'd already given his heart to.
How could their relationship be normal, the guy had a big secret afterall
Perhaps ppl found the time travel confusing but this is my absolutely favourite sci-fi romance kdrama followed by TKEM 💕
