it does, but GMM isn't promoting it to the point that Joong began doing promotions himself by posting random actors from GMM with the flyer for it, and going around with the poster on his literal back to promote it. IDK why youre defending the corporation and not the actors who deserve better.

im not talking about plot, simply production value and story telling. The production value is through the roof for Me and Thee and the care that went into it really makes it stand out. They have a higher quality camera for it than most of their other shows for example. I agree, plot wise comparing them wouldn't make sense, but simply putting in even a change as simple as a more expensive camera can do wonders for the quality of the show. If DYTD and Melody of Secrets had more support and attention from GMM, they would ultimately get more attention and do better. Dont get me wrong, I looooove JoongDunk and ForceBook and Im enjoying their dramas, but GMM tends to sacrifice quality for quantity for their shows, thats why a lot of them have a similar feeling; for a lot of people feel that their shows dont always turn out as good as they could have when they're so close to being something really great.
Sometimes I don’t understand why Gmmtv is the largest amd most celebrated channel when all they make is average…
I literally messaged my friend earlier that I wish GMM invested more into their shows like they did for Me and Thee. Shows like Melody of Secrets, Dare You To Death, and a good majority of their stuff comes off as a bit dry when the actors are doing their best and the storylines have so much potential. If they invested in their dramas a bit more and worked on quality instead of quantity, they would ultimately have better results. The reason they're so big is because they've been in the game the longest and have had committed fans for a decade or longer now, and they also take in actors with pre-existing fanbases who have left other companies and generally treat them well. I just wish they invested more into their products (dramas and merch) more than enough to make easy cash.
I never usually have trouble keeping up, but the flow is not there. They jump from one scene to something unrelated with nothing to connect the two. At first, I thought it was on purpose to confuse and entice the viewer by letting us be confused like Botpleng is, but after a few episodes it's clear that it's not. I love the concept and ForceBook ofc, but I keep wondering if im missing something along the way. That being said, I think once there is an English translation of the novel I will try to read that, and I will also continue the show because I would love to see how it ends, but it's a bit frustrating trying to figure out how they got from point A to point B every ten minutes.
The show is a good and fun watch, but with less Merman action that than I originally anticipated (that's okay, though!) Poon and Sun are some of the sweetest actors I've seen, so for them especially please give it a watch!!
