I actually thought Joke would win the scholarship, but it went to Nitha. I guess they went for the realistic option rather than the dramatic one.....

So, first of, I did not try to compare it to a certain other mafia bl, because I knew it wouldn't be fair. Secondly, I did , in fact, read the novel to get an idea of what exactly the story was.
The drama however, just made me laugh. Unforgotten night is a very much a thirst story. It's about a mafia boss who gets thirsty for a beautiful man he spend a fun night with, exploring all his kinks.
The drama, however, dealt with it in a very strange way for a story based on bdsm and one night stands. What the hell was that kiss in the bathroom? Was Kamol just sticking his face to Kim's neck and just doing that thai lakorn thing?
What exactly was that bdsm scene?
What was the casting? Did anyone even think Kamol was scary? He didn't look like an adult, much less mafia. How can anyone look at the guy and think, yes, this is a very violent mafia leader who is a sadist?
Kim, unfortunately, looks more mature than Kamol, and might have been a better actor to play the mafia role.
The acting was meh, and the whole thing, unfortunately, made me feel like I was watching a parody. I just couldn't take it seriously.
But I am not going to rate it yet, but wait for the whole series to air before deciding.
