I had to force my self to finish Reply 97 & 94 which made me very apprehensive about starting Reply 1988, however I'm so glad I did because this has become one of my favorite K-dramas. More then anything this drama really brought on the feels... through the whole series I was getting moments of nostalgia. After I'd finish an episode I'd always have an urge to hang out with my family. I really felt a connection to each character, which is unusual in K-dramas that usually just focus on the lead. Anyways, I completely agree with this review :)
I dedicated so much time into this drama. I had to wait an entire month before recovering from that ending and making this comment. HOW COULD THEY KILL THE LEADS? What the heck. I thought this was going to be a happy happy show! I'm so sad.
I feel like there was enough plot and unfinished parts to this that it could have been a full series.
I think it would have been really popular too, since there aren't many good dramas out right now.
I'm a really big fan of Sung Joon, but I don't think I'll be watching this after all these negative comments. Too bad, I was hoping for a good drama to come on after my heartbreak with Reply 1988 being finished.
a darker Lee Bang Won...........this is the start of the internal conflict...knowing how the real (based on history)…
Right? I couldn't resist myself from reading up on the real story of LBW. Even though he will be turning "bad" I'm kind of excited for it. I really hope the writers don't sugar coat anything.
I completely agree with you that Joo Won was probably the perfect person to cast for the role of Yong Pal & that…
Yea, I will say I was a bit disappointed that Yong Pal turned out to be a bit meek. I feel like if they made a drama just about Yong Pal, without any romance, and just entirely him being badass through the whole thing, I would've enjoyed it more. But, I still did really enjoy watching Yong Pal nonetheless, and there haven't been too many dramas that I have gotten into this year. :)
I love taking polls and such BUT If the dramas are supposed to be divided up into ACTUAL CATEGORIES then the categories…
I agree! Especially since a lot of people have only seen the big name dramas (KMHM, Healer) so they just end up picking them even though they haven't seen any of the dramas.
I'm super sad that Yong Pal and Answer Me 1988 aren't getting more recognition then I think they deserve, BUT I am really happy that Healer is getting the recognition it deserves. I never really got the whole Kill Me, Heal Me hype, so I feel like it's winning more categories than it deserves to be. I did discover some new dramas to check out after this though!!
I've never been into K-pop so coming into this drama I had no idea that it had a start cast. I just saw the high rating and figured I'd give it a try. I was not impressed. But, I know now that this is for EXO fans, majority of non-EXO fans would not like this.
I think it would have been really popular too, since there aren't many good dramas out right now.
