(Spoilers ahead – just my late-night thoughts as I try to make sense of everything that unfolded in this episode.…
I completely agree with the grandpa theory. I was already suspicious about him when he looked at his son at the graves in the flashback scene( he looked like he was plotting and not sad) and even more so when he told Charan to lie and plus he never told his son that khanin was live in the first place. So i believe he had something to do with khanin's mother death. Not only would it be a power play but also a play cypher sympathy from the public. Which we know most asian societies run on public image. I dont think he is the only villain but he is definitely the main one.
I say that i enjoyed the first and and middle parts of the first episode and i felt it gave off a serious drama vibe until he took Tong home and somehow it went from True blood to Twilight in a second. the last scene and Mark's monologue gave very much Edward and Bella in the forest " I know what you are" scene. I get that they were trying the mysterious sexy vampire approach but it felt to cliche and over done, to the point that they made Tong character look stupid ( he was basically the guy version of Bella) and that not good. I feel like this could have went the True blood way since there are some similarities . If they did this would have been the new KinnPorsche series with a vampire twist. I will continue to watch but i feel this will be a bl version of twilight 2.0( and im a little sad about that. I was looking for at least a serious level scale of The Originals, if production was to scared to go the True Blood approach) I love bl's but i wish they made more serious dramas apposed to the overly cute or overly funny or overly cliche dramas.( not saying i dont like them) I just need better variety than the same recycled storylines and characters.
I believe he has a brain cancer tumor/s and that's why he gets migraines. I believe the pills are from a clinical trial he is in and that why the bottle has research on it, because he is part of testing and seeing if the pills work. now we know the pills help with his headaches but they probably also help reduce the size of the tumor and/or keep them from growing. Sangmin is also worried he will forget everything once the tumor is removed, which is very common and also hinted at in the next episodes preview when he stated he didn't want to forget Dinneaw's Mom. it's most likely the doctor told him he will lose his memories, hints at why he told Hana he shouldn't be falling in love with Dinneaw. And there's also the side of that he might not make it out of surgery, even though there is a low chance of that. This makes it completely understandable why he doesn't tell Dinneaw, like there is no right way to tell the person you love you have cancer and a new love interest that. Not only that but will probably forget them after treatment. Sangmin probably doesn't want anyone to treat him differently after knowing the true or anyone's pity. Most of the time people do treat someone with an illness differently even if its not intentional.
I feel like this show has potential to be a really cute series but the script is lacking in quite a few areas. I think if they got rid of all the extra characters and stick with everyone from the main couple, not-so side couple/friends and the mom, it would be better. the show really didn't need the horny/bad acting couple(Hate their scenes) and the annoying/bad acting pony(who finds her funny? Not Me) and that weird hotel owner guy. If the show just mainly focused on the main couple getting to know each other with the one sided enemies to lovers trope but still kept the whole mystery around Sangmin illness storyline, the show would be better. I believe just that would be enough to have a complete storyline and a plot. Because currently the show is lacking a plot and i feel like we are missing a lot of scenes to the story and its not flowing smoothly. I was considering dropping the show but i love the interactions between the main couple. So i will be only watching their scenes.
Ps. how come everyone is running a resort or hotel? like are there no other jobs.
What in the world were those dance moves😂My boy was dancing like his life was on the line. And not the lady acting like that just did it for her🤣I just can't. I wouldn't have been abled to keep a straight face, lol.
This episode has cemented my speculation that this whole thing is a test from the god. I truly believe vee is ms wad and the new ms wad look alike is a test from the god. The test is whether san truly loved wad for her soul or her looks. If his love for her was so great, he should be abled to recognize her sould regardless of her appearance. He should love her regardless of her gender, background and any fault she has in this life, like he claimed he did.Everything has pointed to vee as being wad but he was so stuck up on her being a man and not the fact she could look different in this life. This being said, san already knew wad could have a different appearance, so why was it so hard to believe gender could be changed also. Gender is not step in stone in rebirth. Vee personality is similar but different to wad, this is because how vee/wad, upbringing and time frames and environment but ultimately you still see the soul of wad shine through vee at times. Now san has come to terms with that vee is wad the final test has began. The test is the new wad lookalike. This is to test san newfound confidence that vee is wad and will he backout after seeing the lookalike. Or will he stay true to vee (regardless if he's wad or not) and embrace his "new love" and let the old wad go. This also will confirm wether or not he loves vee as a person or just because he was supposed to be wad reincarnation.
Like i said i believe vee is wad but if he's not, its not the end of the world. It will just mean san will have a chance to move on and not live in the past anymore. Love is forever changing and you can love someone new after losing a past love. This will teach him to accept change and not be stuck in the past. That ultimately he shouldn't have used the stone but grieved and moved on in the past.
Netflix should have made this 4 seasons because there is still alot of unanswered questions. This season should have been the season of backstories and explanations to everything. List of thing that should have happens this season that we didn't get an answer for: 1. What are neo humans and why are the monster scared of them 2. How do you become a neohuman , after being a monster.(what is the turning point to morph) 3.How are special infectee and neo humans different 4. What are the neo humans powers and abilities (why are they the final stage) 5.How did monsterization start and how did it affect everyone. 6.where did all the monsters go. They ones in s2&s3 are different than what we saw in s1.(perhaps budget cuts) because the few we did see looked the same and didnt seem like monsters based on desires. 7.why did they start the experiments on the mhs on the first place. 8. Why was MH1 a walking contradiction.( one second he loves his wife the next hes trying to kill her and saying shes usless. Why does his personality flip switches. Why did he want his daughters body. What is his overall purpose for doing all this. What was his beef with the neo humans. Now besides those main questions. I feel like the other questions left unanswered could be answered based on the direction of the story.Things i wished this season had done: 1.I feel like this season could have use its time to have the little girl truly experience life as a human and helped her create strong bonds( which she started but not long enough to impact) that helped her see things for a human perspective.Plus we should've got more time with her and her mother bonding and living among other people to help the girl learn social skills and learn about what life use to be like. This would have helped to see her mom in a new light. 2.The crazy lady and the priest could have had a storyline based on ep 7. The crazy lady seems to also be a special infectee( why didnt the show writers use this) . The writers could have used this as an advantage to make he character relevant since they added her to the story. Instead of making her childish crazy, they could have made her scary crazy and blamed it on her monster side taking over half of the time. As for why her and the priest acted like they didn't know each other, they could have made her have memory loss like MH1 and only remembered her house( that she want to go back to) maybe because she remembers she was happy there(due to some reason involving the priest) and as for him pretending he didnt know her is based on the fact that she drove her car into a crowd of people and he hasn't forgiven her yet. She could have been a help in defeating the other MHs and montser, with a special reveal that she was an infectee this whole time and her crazy moment were her monster taking over her body. 3.They should have given us more backstory to the MHs and how they became special infectees. Who where they before and how did they end up in the experiments. What were their desires based on their abilities and how long were they locked up. Other than that everyone else that was addes to season 2 , other than the crow platoon, could be erase because they did not add anything to the story. We should have gotten these answers and storylines and have season 4 , give use the MHs going to the stadium and the big final showdown. That why nothing would need to be explained, just endless battles, chaos, death and a nice wrap to the story. Then when everything was done , a 5 to 10 minute closing peace of rebuilding the world and coexisting. This show had so much potential but the 2nd and 3rd season didnt do it justice. This ending rushed and felt like they ran out of time and were like heres your ending since we only had 3 minutes left to film.plus i feel like the show could have did without the romance between the main characters, it felt forced. All in all i love hyuns monster side, we should have gotten more of him being reckless. Also hated the lack of monsters in this season. We should have a least seen a bunch of cocoons everywhere to make up for why there was no monsters roaming around, since they are literally in a populated city. Or at least seen more neo human ls roaming around.
No, he knows ming is in love him. So he is using ming to advance his career, power and money. That why he hates…
The older brother did show up in the show, even though he is completely described differently in the book. If I'm not mistaken Mike, is the oder brother. The guy ming meet briefly before meeting the blind shaman guy. And he appears agian in the next episode preview ,the same way. It looks like they completely taken out mings brother role, which he was part of the main reason joe and were abled to patch things up. He was described as a hardworking business man, with the typical business man look but cared very deeply for his brother and he also hated Tong. One of the reasons Tong latch on to ming and not him
No, he knows ming is in love him. So he is using ming to advance his career, power and money. That why he hates…
The sister and tong are match made in heaven. She's just as bad as tong was in the book. She also tried to hurt joe in the book because of her jealousy. The only decent person in ming's family was his older brother, and partially his grandfather but that was due to the fact he didn't think joe and ming would last, so he told everyone to leave them alone.
No, he knows ming is in love him. So he is using ming to advance his career, power and money. That why he hates joe, he dont want to lost ming help, he wants to be ming' priority because ming has power and money
As a person who has read the novel, i feel this version of ming is 10 times better than the book version. He's still an a**hole but he's not as bad as he was in the book and some of the things he did were beyond redemption. I feel the tv show writers changed this to give a more believable redemption arc for ming because there was not really one in the book.In the book ming never really apologized and paid for his past wronging, just more so of going forward he will do right by joe and that didnt sit well with me. Tong also never paid for his wrong doing, he got off completely scott free and was still trying to screw over joe. I truly had hoped that once ming knew the truth he would help joe(as he said he would) and protect joe from tong but tong was still having the upper hand and hurting joe. I feel joe forgave ming to easily ,without ming putting in any work to get back into Joe's good graces.Joe truly is a pushover and even more so in the book.
So i hope the show does better and give us proper justice for joe and all that he lost
