Thinks makes it easier for a story to move along...if the character is a bit on the dizzy side then you are not shocked when she does stupid things! You start saying to yourself why is she so silly, but in actual fact it opens the plot up so much wider than if the lead is rational. At least that's what I like to think...for me it's okay sometimes but I get fed up and have to switch to some strong female leads to soothed my irritation! Like watching my girl in five children....
