I'm not usually one to watch dramas like this but I really like this one. I went into this thinking it's going to be one of those cutesy dramas that makes me want to hit my head against a wall. It moves quite slow but I think that given the context of Lu Sicheng and Tong Yaos relationship it actually fits really well. I appreciate how they didn't play into the stereotype of every girl who likes gaming is a tomboy. I also love that they included Tong Yao having bad period pains and I'm sure there is people who complained about that but I as a person who gets such bad period pain that I cannot do anything really appreciate it. A very key theme throughout the whole show is normalised mysogony and the idea that there are things for woman and things for men. It's not that the rest of the ZGDX team don't treat her any different because she is a girl but that they simply don't care which is probably a more realistic take on gaming (I'm saying this as a person who doesn't really game). Another key theme is that famous people are people too and just because we fans buy their merch and pay to see them at various events does not mean we are buying them and have any claim over them. All in all I really enjoyed this show and am sad that it took me so long to watch it. I forgot this but I also really love how Lu Sicheng is normally the tsundere but in his and Tong Yaos relationship he is constantly wanting to hug and kiss her. it's really sweet to see
I put off watching bad buddy for years I finally got around to watching it and it may be one of my favourite shows to watch when I watch a nice calming show
