For example, the character of Duan Wu still falls within her comfort zone, but the character's dramatic fate, the vitality that emerges between life and death, and underwater scenes all present new challenges for her. Acting has also given Zhao Lusi the courage to try things she previously avoided. Before filming #TheStoryOfPearlGirl, she wasn't interested in underwater activities, but she learned swimming and diving specifically for this role.
For Houlang (Gen Z), she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine to understand pulse diagnosis techniques. She has also learned skills like archery and horseback riding for her work. I am sorry i don't understand what you're talking about.... this drama tells about the journey of Xu yan (coming from an unwanted child from poor family to an ambitious woman, fake identity, career and marriage ruined and lastly self redemption, rebuild her life , zhao lusi has said she won't take a role if there's no character development on it. This is a slice of life urban romance drama
the story of pearl girl's broadcast that was initially planned for an october premiere might be slightly delayed to broadcast in november instead but the silver lining is that it's preparing to air on multiple tv channels (currently, beijing tv is pretty much confirmed)

In ancient times, due to the prolonged use of primitive gathering methods, pearl diving was an extremely dangerous job. Divers had to go down to over 10m in shallow waters or even to 12m in deep seas to collect pearls
During filming, Zhao Lusi also experienced the challenges and dangers of her character Duan Wu working underwater. Many underwater scenes involving pearl diving and fighting were shot in Winter, and while filming underwater, she had to keep her eyes open while carrying weights of 8/9kg around her waist!
In one scene, Duanwu faced persecution and fought underwater, nearly suffocating. During the actual shoot, Zhao Lusi felt a sense of fear: if she inhaled water, her body wouldn’t be able to surface
This fear and danger are a constant reality for Duan Wu. Transcending time-space, Zhao Lusi empathises with this character, feeling a mutual understanding with Duan Wu.
