#ZhaoLusi had to overcome her fear of deep waters to learn diving for her role as Pearl Diver — she had naked eyes and was filming during the coldest winter
"I actually have a slight phobia for the deep sea so I used to never sit on boats. I didn't really do underwater sports too. So initially, the production team found a swimming pool studio
Our props for #TheStoryOfPearlGirl were done very meticulously. The sand and gravel that are from the deep waters were buried in the waters. Our production team did it themselves. The first time I dived underwater, I actually couldn't really see clearly when I opened my eyes in the water. I'm also not very good in water by nature but afterwards, I started feeling more secure and also because I thought, since I'm already here, I should do my best!"

1) I watched the final cuts and #zhaolusi's character feels like one whom everyone will love. she's full of womanly charm 🥹 (but this drama is so full of torture, I feel like I will cry a lot
2) I'm here on site and I watched the compilation cuts of the story of pearl girl! it's too good! lusi is full of valiant scenes
3) so good... I'm completely into it! I saw a really heart wrenching scene, it was only for 20 min but it made my heart ache (why does duan wu keep getting tortured. they were showing us the scene of duan wu getting pressed against the ground and her crying, "that's the pearl left behind by my mother, that's mine 😭" that part is so heartbreaking 💔

there was a 10 sec scene where lusi was beaten up and then she cried and crouched in one corner till she was trembling! my 💛 was exclaiming, how pitiful but adorable
she had no mother and as a young girl, she was bullied and trembling. she was afraid yet she was reassuring herself, telling herself that the the next day would be better
it's kinda returning me that feeling back when I was watching love like the galaxy
