For nearly 9 out of those 10 years, it felt like things were just endlessly stagnant and confusing. This industry doesn't have clear standards like so many other jobs do, and you can't really see how much you're growing, right? On the surface, it might look like it's all down to luck, but in reality, it's a field that demands just as much effort and skill-building as anything else.

So, if it took 10 years for me to become who I am today, I don't actually think it's such a long time. There are so many people out there who work way harder and are far more professional than me, yet they don't get the kind of love from audiences that I do. That's why I feel like I've been really lucky.

And over those past 10 years, I've probably said it hundreds of times—maybe even thousands. "I'm done with this job now. I'm switching to something else right away." I kept saying stuff like that... but in the end, I never left. It was all just talk—I never actually followed through! Oh wait, no, that's not quite right. It was just something I said in the heat of anger.

So why have I stuck around in this industry all this time, and why am I now starting to create my own related content and get involved in production? It feels like only in this moment can I finally dare to say it: because I truly love this work.

Why did I start getting involved in production myself? Because now I'm beginning to sense, bit by bit, what kind of influence I can have in this society—whether on teenagers or adults, on so many people.

In truth, whether we become stars, famous celebs, or just people working in entertainment, I think we're all ultimately carriers of culture. That's why I believe we have a social responsibility, and we need to shoulder it.

A lot of people say memories are things that have already happened, so you can't change them. But I think you can change memories too. After all, they're such a deeply subjective thing.

For example, going onto a set for a project always made me tense and burdened—how could I stop feeling that way? Then it hit me: what if I go onto a set for a project that I'm producing myself?

Among the works I filmed in the past, there are moments so tough that I don't even want to revisit the memories. So how can I look back on those memories differently? By remaking them myself.

That's why I believe we can change so many memories. If that memory is a wound, then all we have to do is make a flower bloom from that wound.

lusi reaching out to original writers, regardless of class or popularity, and offering collaboration, is genuinely a good thing.
nowadays, many authors’ works are stolen by production companies. they buy the copyright, then hire another writer cheaply to finalise or change the story to fit their vision and market demand (which is why we see so many repetitive plots in cdramas lately).

this act disrespects the original author and their work. so her approach actually creates opportunities for people who’ve faced injustice, and for those whose work was hidden due to limited networking.
this isn’t just about whether she was offered roles or good scripts. she was offered many during her hiatus, and choosing not to take some isn’t a bad thing. it shows she has a clear vision.
she doesn’t accept everything blindly. she’s being more careful now.
