I feel the same way because it was all confusing the whole series is so wonderfully directed but the end was messed…
I liked sunset ..... But lets be honest we liked it because we got our happy ending. I didnt really need a happy ending here. I just felt everything was out of sequence with the way it was presented. I think i would have wrote this with vlad returning from germany not knowing karl was there then getting the wrong door. While Karl is doing his senior film project but is writing this story and distraught over the ending.
Dont get me wrong .... I loved this series! The only thing I wished they would have done different is maybe explained the time lapse a little more in the last episode or maybe even widened it. I am guessing it was only a few weeks or months. The ending was just a little messy for me ( just being honest ). Still processing it and dont want to put anything here that will ruin it for others since the last episode is only a few hours old.
This really did have potential!! The story line was there. Unfortunately they decided to make this BL as a quarantine series. I think the story was to big and to deep to be done over a computer. Imagine a full fledge series with this story line being done in non quarantine times. Building all the characters and giving them depth! In the end I found myself forcing to watch because of all the crying scenes.
Lol i guess I will be the odd man out here maybe even hated! Finally dropped on their official You Tube channel ... And well .... Not as good as I thought it would be. Kinda childish and a let down!!! But on to episode 2 maybe it will change my mind!
The last 2 episodes of this has just been off the charts. I literally was sitting on my couch emotional and staring at the tv when they flipped to their empty couch. Let me say something tho that no one has mentioned. The matching of the music to the scenes in this BL is spot on. Music really can make or break something we are watching and these people have nailed it. There is another BL that is airing that has played the same back ground music for every scene and it started drive me insane lol. I actually stopped watching that. This is a true to life story as a gay man I been in the spot of confusion and hiding. I have also dated guys that were not in the same spot as me after I came out. I cant do it!! I want to be part of someones entire life not just what they pick and be hidden away. I love the way this story progressed and the route they are on. Cant wait to see the last episode to see where they take this. Life is not always a happy ending.
This series was just ok. The director seemed to be really good at directing good kissing and sex scenes BUT the rest was just ehhhh! Its not the worst Filipino BL but not the best. Kinda landed in the middle for me.
Hmmm at end Judah seemed concerned that the limo driver was taking so long. Maybe this was a plot twist. Maybe grandma was not so nice!! Maybe that limo wasnt going home but to the gay conversion camp and this was really a kid napping. This was a plot twist in a gay movie many years ago i watched! Season 2 LOL!
I would not be disappointed if this turned out to be about a person who had a mad crush on his best friend but turned out his soulmate was a delivery driver!!
More time maybe? Story and character development ? I don't know!! I didn't love it ... I didn't hate it ......
