An interesting premise is established in the first episode bringing intrigue to Sang Qi's future journey at the Imperial College. The episode is filled with comedy throughout. The episode has a nice pace where information is easily digestible. Sang Qi is introduced as a frontier girl who wants to study at the Imperial College, and is properly qualified—talented in fighting and academics. She faces discrimination as most women at that time would. Zhuo Wen Yuan, Sang Qi's close friend helps Sang Qi and joins her. A bet is placed between Sang Qi and another girl in giving Yan Yun Zhi, the Imperial College's Vice President and Sang Qi's now deceased older brother Sang Yu's friend a pouch before the Lantern Festival.

The premise is interesting and makes you crave to learn more, however it does feel a bit cliché with traveling back in time. Overall, the drama should promise a decent value.
