Well I disagree. Ive seen him in most of his shows that ‘doesnt require much’. But one reason why I admired him here is because of how real he played the role as a firefighter. They trained, they filmed with real fire mostly are not cgi. So when you say it didnt require much from him, that statement cant be farther from the truth.

With 8.3 rating right now I dont believe its a failure at all. you need to tune out the noise of antis to appreciate it. Its not the perfect drama but its better than others. Ive seen worst cdramas out there where they relied on just fluff and giddy feelings ; doesnt have strong storyline; actors arent showing emotions and just being cold til the end; actresses were child like all through out. This isnt one of them. I see the effort acting wise.
I actually think it could do better by removing filler episodes and replacing them with the high school scenes. We could have avoided misunderstanding and judgement to the leads early on.

Still It wasnt even that important. It could be relatively saying shes happy now. While on the same discussion too Song yan mentioned about Xu Qin asking for a fight and drinking at the bar when they were young and MYC thought it was song yan who influenced her.
