Yes, it's GL (mild) and they are not blood sisters in the drama.
One is adopted and the other is the true daughter of the family.

Now this drama actually deserves an 8.9 rating.

I have to say, Li Rong truly embodied the role of the Princess.

Episode 1 is already off to a hilarious start!

I just love the FL. Especially the way she carries herself (noble bearing) 😭
ML is also impressive 😊 and the cinematography is just chef's kiss.

Chemistry? Really? I am surprised that the rating hasn't fallen off. Now up to ep 26, I give up.

Same conclusion I came to. It's the only logical explanation to explain the deep hatred she has for the Pei family specifically her husband.
Her families demise (The Ruan's family) and not being able to marry the love of her life are enough to twist even the kindest of hearts to seek revenge even at the cost of their death.

I feel you, I'll most likely be disappointed based on some of the characters not being able to showcase the true essence as in the anime or novel.

Cheating is that bad. To break one's trust is very painful. Then you see the cheater's face each day.
