So it is 20 episodes after all and I will hopefully be able to finish the series today so I can mark it off. And season five is a definite because when they finished filming this one on Weibo, they had already announced plans for season five.

They ended filming at the end of June or mid July I believe.

Of course they wouldn’t actually do that to an actor or a human being unless they’re barbaric. But I can only imagine how much padding they used. Probably like half a mattress lol.

I’m sorry to hear that. As I only go in as a viewer, I can only make a judgment based on what I saw. But I look at everything not just like the acting and the story, but I also look at the cinematography the editing all of it. Actually, this drama was supposed to be an S level drama which I believe is rare for MG TV, if at all, so a lot of money went into it, but I’m not entirely sure where it went.

I don’t remember what the original episode count was? Was it 40 episodes or was it 36 episodes? Because of the original episode count was 40 and they cut eight that could definitely explain the insanity we received at the end. Production definitely had problems we saw that from the get-go with people that had no real association with the production. Other than having a friend is a producer trying to make clout for themselves. But all that aside, I do think that whoever the director was if he wasn’t new, then he is definitely not experienced and editing was choppy as hell.

I always wish that novelists would not sell their rights but the screenwriter themselves so they could have control over their work. I’m a novelist myself, and I would never sell my work to anyone. At some point, I will self publish the remainder of my work by if there was a chance to create a screenplay from one or two of my novels, I would write the thing myself. I know how to do it, and I know people who can help me if that chance ever arose I mean, but I do wish in their country they had more novelist, stepping up and writing their own work so stuff like this wouldn’t happen because we keep seeing it happen.

Of what? The novel? No idea, I didn’t read it, but you can ask the novel readers. Whatever it was it was different than what we saw.

Oh I see; still, it’s annoying as Nails that they had to kill off someone who was never killed off in the novel. These creative liberties that they take always backfire, and this is not the first series to do that.

The strangest thing is this is maybe the second time I’m watching the actor and he’s 49 in real life and in this series more maybe because of makeup and what not they made him look like he was in his 40s, but the very first time I saw him was six years ago and he was mid 40s, but he did not look a hair over 33. So just shows how much makeup can really help with aging someone even though still not up to the 49 standard.
