I haven’t watched today’s episodes yet but how were they? According to the trailer both ZZ and HLL find BYT and he’s rescued. JZP is captured by ZZ. I saw previews; what a nasty POS. He and SJZ are of the same ilk.
Actually it’s not Youku but Daylight Entertainment who decides on international distribution rights and they made a mess of it. Apparently they’re new to it and instead of studying other shows that release on their own platforms like Youku plus selling it to Netflix and Amazon, they’d get huge revenue. But they just didn’t and I think it also hurt the show.
And ppl have no idea the difference between a real wuxia (this) and every other drama they have seen with fight…
Don’t worry. It’s not doing great but it’s on two tv channels now and more regular ppl can see it not just actor fans. I think it appeals to the older generation more too. Once it hits 10K on Youku, it’ll be fine. It’s already at 9500, so just that little bit is need. They care more about data; so let deal with that. We’ll just watch and enjoy.

I think it's because after the main hype died down, plus other dramas with maybe the romance aspect released, so this is mid level now. But ppl want things in this story that it simply doesn't have. I think it should be higher rated on the mainland too but here; it's a fan site by fans for fans so ratings here don't matter. It's all about how it does on the mainland. In general, it's all in the eyes off the beholder. If you're like me and really enjoying it, that's great. But for others, the experience may not be the same.

As usual, the actors have to do all the work, while production and the platform do the bare minimum and just sit on their asses. Best thing, is just to watch and enjoy if you are and forget about the ratings or negativity everywhere. Hope that helps.
