Oh, I see what you’re talking about. I saw the studio reposting a lawyer letter from a law firm when I looked through Weibo I didn’t know what it was about but now it makes sense so shouldn’t worry; the lawyers will get the trolls.
So after skimming and jumping and skipping through 25 and 26 early in the morning, I got a chance to really look through it with a lot more detail now in the afternoon and I finished it and my rating is an 8.5 because the story the entire time had been great, but the rushed ending and the fact that guest roles had proper exiting. Then our leads who had like a minute and a half was pretty ridiculous as well as FL transposing her own insecurities onto ML and him apologizing for it which I think was BS. I think they should’ve spent most of episode 26 on the main couple but we do get comical gong and ML moments just like we did in the beginning. I really wish that bitch Street gang did not get their own little version of redemption because they did not deserve it considering how many people they used just to bring the FL down when we find out that pimp‘s husband wanted to divorce her for a while so now we know the truth about that as well as the broken music box and that technically father‘s other family came before hers not the other way around as she had thought all her life. She really should have apologized to the ML for putting him through so much; but I guess coming back together and wearing her engagement ring was her way in the last few moments of the gang back together again as the director made a cameo with Gong’s comic becoming a short film is just that. I fast forwarded all the people whose little exits I didn’t want to know about. The voiceover by the FL does talk a lot about the complexities of love, but there was a lot of right and wrong, especially a lot of wrong in this story of love because if I had written a review, I would’ve called it an unconventional deep dive into the world of love.
Sadly, this is LYN‘s last filmed series so we won’t be getting one or rather another one this year and I don’t know about next year but at least he’s got his album, concerts, and two variety shows that will pop out on we TV this year wow the world season two and the truth season four so look out for those. But don’t despair about him and this character he wanted to play someone completely different that he had never played before and this is only his second modern drama and he achieved it. Maybe not to how much screen time we would’ve wanted for him, but I think with some of the choppy editing it could have also been cut episode wise during review so that’s a possibility. But he always talks about things in his live streams, which are translated on X and when he spoke about this role, he said he just wanted more experience and he got it so it’s a win for him.
Because my review writing is on hiatus I will not be writing one for this drama so you guys can take it away if you wish. Thank you to all of you. Who chatted with me in this comment section and I look forward to seeing you in future dramas. Stay blessed. 😇
P.S. Was really surprised that other than the last episode which has obvious time skips and things; the rest of the show’s timeline was only 6 months! Talk about breakneck speed relationships lol!
So am I. He wanted the role for a different take on things. A totally different character and he got exactly what he wanted. So not a total loss and other then the rushed and messy ending with little time for him it was a good show.
The drama rushed the ending and made the ML basically invisible while the FL transposed all of her problems onto him before dumping him and running away….like all the way back to her village away. They gave better, fuller character exits to guest roles that appeared 4 times than the ML. But they used his popularity to run this show. Should have hired some random other actor. I know LYN wanted to try this role because it was different and at the end of the day it still gives him more acting experience but he should have been given more screen time as the deserving ML and not written to make FL’s problems his own and apologize for that. He wasn’t at fault at all.
OK, I can say that very rushed ending. Ridiculously rushed ending, but everyone got their piece of the whatever pie. If you don’t want to watch episodes 22, 23 ,24 you don’t have to they’re incredibly messy (I didn’t even bother) so start with about halfway through 24 or the beginning of it. And go through to the end. Seemed to me that even the villains got their BS HE’s though they didn’t deserve them. I’ll rewatch again without rushing later in the afternoon but all I will say that our leads got back together and ML came clean re his flaws. Friends group exists sans Yu and LL who are off doing their own thing. Divorced and happy. MM and SD got married as did Zhen and the doc. Leads are engaged again by the last scene while the friend group is sitting around Gong’s first small screenplay show. Very rushed but ok.
For those of you who are not buying express, but do want to finish this show just based off of the calendar that they dropped, the last episode falls on the 16th or 17th because there’s a three day break after today’s episode or episodes.
Spoilers please.1. What episode do they get together?2. Any breakups. How much episode?3 Any love triangle?4.…
This isn’t your typical romance drama just about everyone is already more or less together. You have to watch it to understand. Those questions are just not applicable here. And it ends today so we do not know what kind of ending anyone will have.
Well written even though we technically finish today; you got the basic points across conveying that this drama stands out and deserves to. Probably why the ratings are so low here because ppl want their stereotypical BS lovey-dovey romance and this is totally the opposite. It dives into sometimes the worst of human nature amongst other things. Thanks.
Seriously stop with that black suicide squad as our ML is going to bleed out from killing them all and he’s actually going to need to rejoin his actual army for wars soon! And hey we got a small smooch. Pretty early on for a 40 episode series.
