I don’t think they took their own lives. I think they legitimately eloped. She knows that he won’t get any…
Other than that glowing montage thing I think the ending was very well done; would’ve been cool if they showed them living a quiet life somewhere. We didn’t need to stick a different genre (Xianxia) into this modern military.
Well, I’ll definitely have to think about this review. Probably will write it tomorrow. Given how many reviews there are up already I don’t think mine will be seen that much.

I heard about the epilogue of the novel. So essentially the series stopped right before it and that montage was them in a parallel world, being healthy and happy. So I think it’s a good thing we didn’t get the epilogue.
Honestly, it all depends on how you look at it. Some people will say sad others will say happy others will say open ended/sort of happy. I guess you can say bittersweet.
I just watched the last episode without watching the other four or five. And this is what I think; in the spoiler…
I don’t think they took their own lives. I think they legitimately eloped. She knows that he won’t get any better than he already has and they just want to live their life in peace away from anything that may trigger him, which is everything at this point. The note to the parents was left so they could give the manuscript to the publishing company and they don’t want to be burdens to the parents either. But I think that they left very much alive. As for that Last Glow montage I think it’s more of like a dream like state where in their dreams they’re healthy and together near those trees. It definitely could’ve been better written, but I haven’t watched the rest of the episodes so I can’t really make that deduction other than the fact that CZY absolutely nailed the role. Also, because of what he himself wrote on his Weibo that he wouldn’t change anything and that he would continue to fight for his life, so that means that the character to him at least never took his.
All right it seems that I have to watch this and make my own conclusion because there are three different versions coming out of all of you guys. One thing I did not read the novel so I am absolutely not going by that ending, but I will finish it and let you know my thoughts after the fact, as for a certain someone not making it I kind of had a clue that either him or his little buddy wouldn't just because you still need a death count at the end of this thing.
Sounds like a world of confusion. Glad I didn't read the novel. Will try to figure out what they did when I watch it. Did LZ at least tell SR the truth we were waiting for?
Well, this old fart is going to sleep so please watch for my kid boo-boo and hopefully they’ll have new costumes today though apparently it’s raining over there. Thank you good night.
I liked Destined, but the villain in Destined was ridiculous and it had a draggy middle as well. I think the director should maybe read up on current novels and what not and stop sending these things that could’ve been popular a decade ago down the pipe.
