Title The White Olive Tree Spoiler
1. no love triangle 2. I think around 16 they liked each other since the begining 3. Yes there is a break up in…
I’m in complete disagreement of that; they elope together, which is something they have spoken about previously in other episodes. They never said anything about harming themselves together. Obviously it would’ve been better if we had more than an open ended ending, but nowhere in there was that mentioned.

what happened in the last I didn't understand can anyone explain what happenes to them.???? they wrote the letter…
They went somewhere peaceful and quiet to live their life together just as they thought of doing in their next life he says to her “well why can’t we do it in this one”. So that’s what they did. They’re alive and she understands. He probably will not get better, but they are together and alive.

i really wanted to watch this but the reviews above send me in great doubt 😭 pls tell me if it’s worth watching
Watch it for yourself and make your own decisions. Just a word of warning if you have anxiety or PTSD or anything in that sector of town, you may be triggered. So take care of your mental health because this is a very heavy very deep drama.

Just finished it. Wow. My mind is everywhere; I need time to gather my thoughts for review. Definitely disappeared to a quiet place after agreeing to elope; they’re alive. For me it’s a bittersweet ending; given how close they were to getting out of there before all hell broke loose and who they lost. But damn CZY deserves an award for this performance bar none!

Yeah another thing to suspend our disbelief about
You may want to put that under spoiler tag.

Also, what’s the deal with the hospital? He has an attack and not one doctor comes up instead of a bunch of bystanders pointing fingers and yelling? What kind of hospital is that? Usually doctors are the first on the scene and security if there’s a problem to check out maybe there’s something wrong. Here’s just a bunch of people. Seems very, not right.

I thought I read somewhere below that he lived in the novel. It’s another one of those things that screenwriters take and turn upside down.

I have PTSD myself though not from combat. I didn’t even know that I had it until I was diagnosed with it. But you are actually correct if people with PTSD let others in and those loved ones are very supportive. They don’t take their own lives. Only when it’s super severe and they feel like they are burdens But if those loved ones are persistent just like the kids in the bus they may never be 100% normal, but they won’t take themselves out either because they will feel the love around them. I have personally met people with combat PTSD that said that they were very close to taking their own lives, but as soon as they found a road a purpose everything changed. And that had to do with their loved ones being that rock be beside them at all times.

I think CZY’s entire performance left a lasting impression. They didn’t have to kill off Ben.

Not killing him would’ve been a great solution. Why did they have to do that?

All these guys could save LZ on the second track, but not the first one. Ben is Superman. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t know how to feel about the ending. In a way I’m glad they didn’t keep the ending of the novel but…
They eloped and went to live somewhere quietly so he wouldn’t be triggered with every little sound just like she said in the letter to their parents. Book was published and they were off to live quietly. That’s how I took it.

Exactly. That last montage was very unnecessary. I think just leave it at them eloping in her book being finished. I think that would’ve sufficed.

The ML absolutely nailed this roll out of the park. I actually watched it backwards first 38 and now going from 33 onward.

I choose to think they alive somewhere they didn’t die, what the point for taking their own life 🤷🏻‍♀️for…
I said the same thing it has nothing to do with the novel. Plus, CZY himself wrote on his Weibo that till the end I will keep fighting for my life so there’s no way they took theirs. They just eloped just like they had spoke about to a quiet Little area in their country not to burden or bother anyone. So I think it’s bittersweet because of everything they went through but happy that they are together.

So is that what happened? They delayed their leaving the country by two days and all hell broke loose?

Well, since I never read the novel and I never read the source material to me it’s a bittersweet/happy ending for the leads. Now I’m actually starting to watch from 33 onward I hear 36 is the worst so I’m going to steel myself up for that.
