Maybe but I don’t know this person and I’m not sure the staff would approve unless it came from a direct source of some sort. That’s something I don’t understand with series. You obviously have a sizable support cast. Why don’t you just write all of their names down don’t just put the old people that you barely see on screen; while all of the middle cops or middle gang people run around and actually do stuff. Frustrating 🤦🏻‍♀️. I think the only way this can be fixed is someone who reads Mandarin to look through the ending credits as they roll and fix it that way.

Thanks for that breakdown. It totally makes sense. I think he ultimately will follow the police officer path, but it will happen once brother-in-law becomes more of a mentor to him. Right now they seem to be butting heads and ML seems to be a little cocky so he needs to tone that down. I think not just finding this gun but the evolution and growth of the characters is also very important. I think that’s what they are trying to do now with episode four and five and onward is give a little bit more background of the family because like you said we just jumped right into the story and hello stolen gun and they’re blaming ML for losing the thing like as if it grew legs and walked away. I think that part is really really stupid. We can see that ML is very smart and very talented so he’s not going to go the gangster route. He wants to find the gun and capture whoever is responsible.

Obviously there’s a whole criminal syndicate behind the Hawaiian shirt wearing gang and leader. I’m also wondering whether ML was specifically targeted for his gun or could it have been any other officer on duty during that sting that that would’ve happened to?

I do wish that more of the actual actors that we see on the screen were named in the cast so we could know who’s who we just see them on screen, but we don’t know who they are.

Two cars just arrived and deposited their people but the ones who are watching can’t figure out who it is so I’m guessing it’s some support characters. This is turning into like the biggest game of Clue.😆

I added him to cast just waiting for staff approval. He’s literally the only one that they’ve named on Weibo. There’s a whole bunch of other actors that play the cops or the other gang guys that we have no names for.

I can do max three dramas if they’re airing all the time unless they have flexible schedules.

I’m very confused, but how is the Bao ge gang member guy who’s not very gangster-ish related to our ML? (Don’t get me started on glass eyed leader and his Hawaiian shirt gang). Obviously, he somehow knows ML’s sister and is close to ML. We know that the captain of the station is ML‘s brother-in-law but how does this dude fit into the mix? Is he related to this family or is he a really close family friend? I am on episode four and I still don’t get it lol.

Edit: Oh wait….. he said he was ML‘s driver when ML was growing up? So he worked for ML‘s family but how did he become Mr. gang member with all these people? Or was he already part of this whole thing when ML was growing up? Very strange.

Edit 2: Oh never mind I think they finally told us everything; he worked for the family was part of some organization also and is considered extended family to them. Oh, and saved ML‘s life somehow when he was a kid.

Yeah, I totally agree. They keep yelling at him for losing the gun. He technically didn’t lose it. He was knocked out. The thing was stolen from him and he had to be taken to the hospital.

By the way, does anyone know who the other young cops and others are in this show are? They’re not listed in the cast and they’re pretty important because they’re in every episode? I don’t know who the actors are otherwise I would add them and they’re not listed on Weibo really either.

A funny video I found of TJR’s bday yesterday; apparently one of his fans brought her little boy with her, and he called out to him while taking group photos “Uncle TJR!” That startled TJR who smiled and said “Uncle?” 😆 He’s only 26 lol. So I don’t know what was said afterwards, but I think they agreed that the little boy should call him big Brother or brother TJR from now on. Word on the street is that it’s stuck somewhere in review or whatever because there was a copyright dispute that’s why the names of the characters and the original synopsis did not match. So until that’s figured out, we wait.
