Thank you for sharing this. It goes to show that the Director is trying to pull the wrong emotions out of the character and the actress is trying to show the right ones. I think now I can understand the problem with why things are going the way they’re going. The Director himself is not very knowledgeable of the illness nor is he apparently willing to show it for what it is. It’s very hard for actors to do stuff like this when directors are leading them the wrong way.

Agreed. That’s why I keep posting that everything is about her and now she’s resorted to physical violence when he’s not jumping through her hoops, but has to leave for an emergency. No, he didn’t tell her where he was going, but she saw how he was treated by his boss and those in the industry and how he was ostracized, and instead of consoling him, this is what she does. I saw the previews where she acknowledges that she crossed moral boundaries but again she’s drunk so who the heck knows if she’ll even remember it. And then of course in the other preview she’s taunting him that oh well if you don’t come back soon, I will start dating someone else. I think she is more damaged than he is at this point.
