I didn’t watch the episode but I haven’t liked Save or Hope from the get go. Characters are assholes and the Hope actor can’t act. Save is like a Trojan horse. Aran is a bit too much; like over the top flamboyance. I hope they get their comeuppance along with Boss, that advisor lady, and whoever else. Other than Jack and Joke, grandma is the best.

Did Jack pull a Vee move? lol? I may do that because folks in this section got salty 🤣. The preview for 8 looked like the stakes are upped so maybe I’ll watch this Sunday and that Monday lol. I watch mainly cdramas and I’ve got enough angst there to last a lifetime lol. Thanks for the advice. ♥️

To be completely honest, it did feel like a dummy down of the character or characters when they didn’t even question about grandma‘s medication. This show though much better than the first show that I saw Yin and War in, still has a lot of problems with disjointed script and writing. Like the first two episodes were, best described as bombastic because they were powerful and they were on point and the acting and the writing were on point and then you see this kind of like slide start to happen where you have, it seems like two completely different stories going. I really wish they had, more cohesive writing and storytelling. Not saying that the show is bad. I am enjoying it, but there are bits and pieces where, you're just shaking your head and scratching it and going “what is going on and why is this happening?” You know what I mean?

Every single time he appears on screen and looks at her my skin crawls. It's so creepy. Like buddy she ain't a Louis Vuitton bag; move the fuck on.

I feel secondhand embarrassment for her. She's a pretty rich girl with no brains and can't read the room for shit.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I agree with you in real life. You don't just sit around and wait for opportunities to land in your lap; it's what you make of it. There are plenty of poor people, but if the cycle continues, it'll never get better. If you want to break out of it, then you have to work your ass off to do so, but you have to want it. Nothing ever just drops into your lap; that only happens in fairytales. Poor decisions lead to consequences. From the previews and what not that I saw of this week episode Jack took the easy way out again instead of working, getting a job, saving, and paying off his grandmother's hospital bills he ran back to the easy answer, which is also the most complicated and gets him to lose his freedom again. And the fact that none of them suspected that the medicine that was given to grandma by the boss was tampered with was just very unsophisticated and unbelievable writing. That was entrapment, pure and simple, and they all fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

For people like myself who has a chronic illness it's a different story as I'm reading the comments from above. But we are talking about the characters in this story and their life experience. Neither Jack nor Joke, nor their friends are unhealthy and unable to take care of themselves physically, mentally, or emotionally.

I hope it's not going to be a mad dash to the finish line but considering that happens more often than not I guess all I can say is I'm cautiously optimistic.

According to what people said, he doesn’t even realize he has a daughter or know anything about her so I’m not really sure when and where that’s going to come to light. We are more than halfway through and there’s still all of that to reveal plus the overturning of the case and getting all the rotten apples to fall off a cliff. Plus, bring the leads together, so not a whole lot of time and yet so much information to happen.

He wants to be with her but the way he goes about it is like someone who wants to just be possessive and make her his tool or just own her like property. I remember someone mentioned from earlier episodes from that feast when he heard her play that instrument and then the string broke both he and ML rushed over to her; while he was trying to interrogate her about how she knew that particular song, the ML was looking at her finger that was bleeding with concern. Difference between love and obsession.

His name is Duke Wei so from other commenters he seems to be the likely candidate.

I think that Duke that’s helping ML could possibly be her real father.
