I am very glad they didn’t AJTL us (we’ve got survivors lol) and I’m also glad I mentally prepared myself for any ending possible. Otherwise it would’ve been on much different reaction but they did it much better and skillfully. This was a very well done SE.
Damn was doctrine leader super human? I had a feeling he literally went after every single person's families to get the gifted kids and I was right with MF as well. He had thought this entire time that his family was killed by bandits but no it was doctrine leader, and his lackeys. No wonder they gave him a redemption arc ending. All things considered he was turned into a soulless murderer by a liar, who used him; while MF only wanted to protect him; that's another massive heartbreak. A product of the environment. And just as he and his sister really truly reunited, the white haired now demonic old fart, killed the sister; they spent two decades, not knowing they were brother and sister, and he figured it out while she was in denial, saying that he took the enemy for a father and washed her suffer; I can't even imagine that realization in his mind. But he didn't know that their family was massacred by doctrine leader, though she did and no good ending for them either. And the body count goes up.
It’s a dignified end for FL…but like her teacher said, her life is so cruel, she lives half a lifetime seeking…
That’s how the novelist wrote it. At least it wasn’t like a reverse ending or something shoved down our throats we weren’t ready for like many other dramas have done.
I think that if he had known she was there, he probably would not have gone forward with his mission and they…
Yes, we may feel that way, but given the way, the characters have been portrayed and how they do things it fits their way of thinking and doing things.
I watched the last episode and a little bit of the one before and I actually do like the way they ended it. Yes sad but dignified. Will watch the remainder today not sure about the review but the missed opportunity at first I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it but then I realized that it wouldn’t have made a difference one way or another though I do wish that they did have one more chance to see each other. But at the same time, I know that he wouldn’t have continued onward with his mission if he had known. For folks yelling that this was supposed to be a romance; no actually it was supposed to be a tragedy from the get-go many of us knew about that even those of us that didn’t read the book. The trailers, the synopsis all point in one direction and they fulfilled that promise.
