I think it’s jealousy honestly but like of the toxic type. I think it also has to do with the fact that maybe his father praised ML more or something even though I think his father is suspicious AF. Yeah, I think you’re right him being so pretentious and pushy with the constant BS and supposed flirting will definitely push ML to do something. He feels that he should clear his father‘s name before getting into a serious relationship or as the preview shows finding his own happiness. Though he hasn’t been happy since he was a kid he’s been lonely. And that’s why I think he kind of just allows himself to feel/act finally in 18/19 wherever they have their confession by the river and then the kissing marathon begins.

I’m kind of wondering if between episodes 27 and 28 there’s some sort of time skip where they don’t see each other because there’s a boatload of kisses in 28 including one called “reunion after a long time kiss”. So perhaps that long time had to do with some sort of time skip perhaps he had to go and do something may be related to his father‘s case maybe he had something else to do. This is pure guesswork on my part. Just because after 19 they takeoff in kisses and only miss one episode and that’s 24.
