I don’t know, I felt WXS’ grief on full display in that scene but everyone sees things differently. LYN I can’t say was overacting just doing what a convoluted script showed him to portray. He’s not acting a “villain”, he’s a bat shit crazy train with an old woman cackle lol. When writers add “the evil laugh” it’s never good.

He even admitted all nonchalantly.

Just a quick comment, this isn’t a xianxia, it’s a Wuxia. I usually get them all mixed up too.

I wouldn’t call WXS stone faced; he was shaking, crying, angry yelling, grieving, that’s a lot of emotions for one scene. BCF was just “I’m a lunatic and blame everyone especially you for my issues, ask me why.” Like the juxtaposition of their reactions was skewed at best. As for WR, the less scenes she has the better but that whole thing was very blah. This entire time they couldn’t scoot her out more but the one time she could have been a genuine emotional support to WXS, she bailed.

That’s a good thing, means they got some fun on set lol.
