I'll take a nice finish over an open ended one. Unless the latter has lots of hope in it. I've written many plots and several books but nothing like some of these dramas. Don't end on a cliff hanger because sequels tend to take a decade and have a different cast. Now I've seen good modern dramas and some that I just ran away from hoping my sanity was still in tact.

After which, he nearly immediately realizes he was a total ass or has to wait for said assistant to make it explicitly, 2nd grade level of obvious for him to try and figure out while not breaking his fragile brain how to get her back. I think you and I just wrote a modern cdrama. 🤣🤣🤣

Overbearing parents that must decide who he loves and should marry to carry on their lineage. They always have these conversations in overly lavish restaurants while eating hotpot. I think we've covered the "basics".

The modern ones yeah, some of them.....I mean woof. A neurosurgeon before he's 30 who can also cook like a master chef and embroider while writing beautiful calligraphy and strumming on the guitar to the first song he wrote.

This is a drama; not sure how much realism comes into play lol. Plus he's like the Jack of all trades; knows how to sing, play the piano, play golf, race, apparently fly a helicopter 🚁 lol. Christian Grey much?
Hunan only bought the drama to suppress it. Tencent was very naïve and only in it for the money when they sold…
Not naïve in the slightest, just know facts from fiction. Hunan is a satellite tv just like dragon, cctv, etc. They tell web platforms when something will be aired if they have copyright. They bought the copyright back in 2019 with the intention to suppress. Like with Jiangsu and Ace, you think IQiY would have aired Ace end of last year if it wasn't for Jiangsu tv? They had "Gold Panning" set to air but pulled it because Jiangsu wanted Ace. Is Tencent innocent? No. But put the blame where it belongs. Had Tencent sold copyright to anyone else or not at all, we would have gotten OOL in 2020. Thanks for stopping by.
