Can someone please marry off the annoying Zhao Kai illegitimate prince dude to Ms. Hehe? He's being way too extra in the past few episodes; promising martial arts bounty hunters crap he can't even deliver himself with his one coat of rusty zombie armor. Dude is boring! πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Who the heck is Lady He He?
The translation is silly as well 🀣🀣🀣. She's not all there mentally.

Completely agree. I think that is what GYY needed the most. Just someone to tell him that what he is feeling is…
It was like there was no affect on her. It’s very bizarre, I agree. How do you deal with death and blood and mayhem of that extent and are just back to no big deal is very inconsistent w/reality.

GL is a selfish and self-absorbed character incapable of real compassion past himself and the brother he misses yet makes false promises to. If he's asked to say how he's gotten to where he is; isn't by hard work but by making others feel sorry for him. He's the antithesis of any military. JNZ contributes but she doesn't feel like she's trying to help him but by trying to get him to "turn his frown upside down", I'm not sure she's emotionally ready or available for what he's going through. Doesn't make her a bad character, just not what GYY needs. In a way, I think AX was brought into GYY's life on purpose. That ZF was the catalyst and she's his real soulmate.

PTSD is a huge factor here as well as survivors guilt. Like why did he die instead of me? He had a wife and son and I have nothing. Back then there was no real treatment to PTSD, it was a get over it thing or stick someone in a psych ward thing. I think the academy should help him in growth, and the original synopsis does say he and AX marry later and after GL and JNZ, so we're purely guessing what he's going to do and how. AX could also reject him and his help, initially. So it's all about waiting and seeing.

Agree. The person that gave him that support was ZF and he's gone. I'm just really glad his father came when he did. Because if anyone can get to his son and truly understand him, it'd be the man who watched him grow up. I hope in the upcoming episodes, his father is around more and really helps his son get past that hurdle. Whether GYY breaks up with JNZ or not, who knows? But she's definitely not in the same headspace he is nor even willing to truly understand it. She was able to shake off the battle like nothing happened, so can still act happy go lucky. She didn't lose someone close to her or watched friends die. Though she probably does love him, I do feel there's an inconsistency there.....like they're starting to drift apart.

Today's episodes just seem a bit discombobulated. Like is romance the primary focus and military the side piece? It's like everyone is running after ppl they can't have or don't want or other things. Favorite portion was the conversation between GYY and his father. Since the battle, it seems the one thing that GYY has needed wasn't a pat on the back or an "it'll be ok", or a "get over it" but an "I understand". Maybe a 3 minute scene but literally what was missing in his life. He's wanted someone to understand him and sadly JNZ wasn't it. She spent all of 22 whining and crying, like her character was severely dumbed down and 23 just very out of the loop. GL's character is borderline bipolar at this point; the writer should just give him motion sequences and not lines. "I've made up my mind to stop dating JNZ", you were never dating her, you've been stalking her. Cut to two scenes later, you all won a basketball game and when she was waving to GYY, you jumped in front of him to obscure her vision, so you'd be the one she saw. Can we seriously sit down with the screenwriter and ask him where his head is at? Because ML has all the qualities of a Neanderthal; "Me want girl. Me follow girl. Me get girl. Me have no brain." πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I know. I wouldn't hire him at all unless it was as a secretary or assistant.

It's literally backwards military tactics. I have no comprehension on the insane nepotism and ass kissing going off of the same sob story that's not even relevant anymore. Soldiers have to put in work, be smart, and show progress to rise in the ranks, not whine about their pasts especially not after a battle where so many have perished. Nothing right about that. Not in any sane military anyways. If this crap continues, I'll be ffw the character's scenes. It's unfortunate.

I agree with this. I mean I felt sad that GL couldn't get a proper education and this is his chance to do so.…
We've heard this same story over and over; only now with an extra part. I feel the screenwriter isn't even trying at this point.

Thanks for the reminder.
This drama is strange and bizarre and not very well written; however what I like about it other then the cheesy comedy is how sincerely they approach the subject of death and organ donation. It's a topic still very taboo in many countries and nobody really wants to openly speak of it without appearing morbid or gloomy; many are afraid of it which is also understandable. But here, it's tackled honestly with a mix of humor and humility, which makes me appreciate this little drama a lot more.

I'm fully questioning the capacity of the screenwriter here. We're halfway done with the series, every character that's still alive is growing and evolving, except for him and he's the FML. 4 episodes of decent growth and evolution for the character just to slide him back to "woe is me"? Like dude, your comrades in arms have perished while you're still alive, that whole spiel is no longer valid. I'm a novelist, I have no idea why this is happening.

The emotional toll in 20 and 21 is very heavy. Though GYY is still in full grief mode, him standing up for both ZF and AX in the movie theater is admirable. I love Ah Xiu's quiet strength. My only confusion is why is it that every time GL doesn't get something, he goes with the sob story to make ppl feel sorry for him? He's already got half the commanders on his side. I really liked his character development these last 4 episodes and then we return to the same thing. Just as they evolve him a bit, he slides right back into that old habit. I'm curious what the writers were thinking at this point. Proper evolution of a character shouldn't be one step forward and two steps back.
