It would been a longer returning to normal or whatever her twisted version of normal was. I never watched GOT but I know all of the important characters more or less. Theon though an asshole in the beginning, was a misguided one and his entire being was turned inside out by Bolton and then yes his redemption arc was perfect. Can't compare a sophisticated character like that to Gao.

It's a train wreck I want to see finished. As an author, writer, editor, and teacher...I will be honest, had this screenwriter handed this script to me as a final grade, it would have gotten a failing grade. I've read Hollywood quality scripts, so even though I don't advertise it, I know good work when I read it or see it on screen. This is atrocious. Why I made it to 30? I guess I'm just waiting for karma to take over, finally. I want a happy ending for the leads, DD, and QA.

Well he was 20 when it was filmed and 21 when it was released. It's got war in it yes but the equality between the leads is wonderful; no cliches or tropes, none of this madness that we have here. All of the side ppl are relevant too. Slow burn romance for all couples but our leads are equal to each other.

The reason for that is actually quite simple; both leads have their own fans plus take into account that there aren't any good dramas out. Pearl Eclipse just started so don't be surprised that this will drop off viewership soon. As I explained to someone, when there are very little or no good dramas out; even poor ones will top charts.

There is no actual plot unless that includes a bunch of delusional ppl trying to get with the leads even though the leads have all said no. That's not a plot, it's a disaster.

I loved TLB. Watched it when it aired. If it wasn't for the cartoons and the lackluster kiss btwn the leads, TLB would have gotten a 10 from me. It's the best costume drama this year in my book. This catastrophe here doesn't come close.
