This is officially a soap opera. Judging from the comments and previews, I may just join the holding pattern folks after this week until all episodes release because I want to skip over all of the angst. A published author and a writer yes. This entire drama so far probably wouldn't get a passing grade from me; Gao was a ruined character from the get go but tomorrow I'll watch 25-30 and let you know. I've written antagonists across multiple genres and time periods and she's a cop out.

I'm very honest in my ratings but many ppl see chemistry forget about the plot and just give 10s. It's sad.
