I know they will all grow and evolve as they move from recruits to actual soldiers and then into combat which is what I'm looking forward to the most, but I really hope the GL character evolves from a thoughtless oaf into a more well-rounded human being not just soldier. As many have said the clear bias against GYY is disconcerting because in normal military terms, the ones that are considered excellent, hard working, and show tremendous potential are the ones that become leaders and rise in the ranks not constantly have their achievements chucked under a rug in favor of the dude with the sob story. The less disciplined a soldier is the more they have to work to prove themselves. Here it's vice versa and makes very little sense, so far. We'll see how things progress.
