Wow. What a waste of an antagonist. More interested in catching his brother then destroying his enemy. So my take on 28 is that, yes poorly written and never do I wish rape on a woman but Gao got what she deserved. Though I doubt she'll just retire to a simple life on a farm with Li Lin. Doesn't seem like LQ is happy his wife is Regent. I'm not sure at all what I feel after watching these 6 episodes. Yes there was a plot pick up of some sort, but I'm guessing we're returning to palace politics and more mind games for the final 10 episodes. I'll keep it at a 5 for now. I'm not sure whether to put on hold or not. But glad DD and QA are back together.

There is no hope for this. Just to crawl to the finish line really and hope that finish line has a happy ending for two of our favorite couples. Preferably with no dumbass redemption plot for Gao.

It should have been stirred up in the early teens or 20s, not 30s running headlong into the finale.

This is officially a soap opera. Judging from the comments and previews, I may just join the holding pattern folks after this week until all episodes release because I want to skip over all of the angst. Considering how much garbage there's been; I can't handle angst or our leads fighting in like the pivotal ending episodes.

A published author and a writer yes. This entire drama so far probably wouldn't get a passing grade from me; Gao was a ruined character from the get go but tomorrow I'll watch 25-30 and let you know. I've written antagonists across multiple genres and time periods and she's a cop out.

I want a happy ending for our leads too.
