Oh, I completely understand and I agree with you. That’s why I think that this should never have been a sequel, but just like a compilation or standalone so people could see the flashbacks and understand that portion and not compare the two because that’s another place where this fell obviously short. I didn’t speed read the novel. I actually read it and it captured my attention. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t use a lot of of the novel because it had a lot of intimate and romantic scenes, which obviously couldn’t be used since the FL was under age when this thing filmed. I do just wish the ending of it was better done, and then I think the solidity of the remainder of the story would’ve made so much more sense. I don’t know who the director is, but the executive producer is the same lady who did blossom and she was the executive producer on that and another one. I don’t remember which one and blossom did very well as we all know, but this I think the director the screenwriter her all these people in the crew the important ones bit off way more than they could chew.

That’s what I said let it be more than just a rumor before I even think about it. I just saw it and I thought it was so weird because the drama ended for us. It was an end and I actually started laughing because just like you and a few other people were saying 0GJM probably needs more allergy medication because it wore off too quick. But to me, this is just a rumor. I figured I’d share and if people are interested, that’s fine me personally I’m not interested unless things have a script. Things start filming and we get a little bit more clues. Otherwise, this is just another something.

I did read the novel after watching PA back in 2019. I remember it. If they had done everything by the novel, this series would’ve gone through the roof in popularity, but they wrote their own script, I think just use the same names and a few of the same situations. And this series honestly was solid for me up until the end. This is the second drama that I’ve watched recently that was solid until the end. I don’t know what happened there. Completely different genres. The only similarity is that they’re both costume dramas that’s it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, the show just ended so having people continue to talk about it is a good thing plus with all the cast writing their farewell letters so on and so forth. I honestly don’t think there should be a season two and I think a lot of people think that way, just because season one ended there was no cliffhanger there was no to be continued or anything of that nature. But from a PR standpoint, yeah sure I mean it can be talked about and it can continue to be in the light. I’ve personally got no problem with it. As for GJM let him go do whatever he gotta do just leave the show alone.

He Xiao wasn’t among the dead nor the physician, though he was fighting, he didn’t die. So you’ve got a lot of confusion. But apparently express released on the mainland so whatever the heck they got, I looked and many of the medicines were saying that it was an HE so whatever they got is different than whatever the heck the express we would’ve had I don’t know but needless to say let’s just call it a day it’s over. There’s a lot of things that they did not need to do and we’re not just talking about the last three or four episodes. The last 10 already started to spiral out of control.

Very similar to my ending. Just because it’s completely contradictory to what LYR said in his interview where he said he was going to sacrifice himself, and then decided against it, which I guess he impaled himself on the sword, but then got treatment and got better I mean, you have to remember we do have this miracle physician, dude for a reason he can cure just about anything I mean he helped with curing ZY’s insane poison, which is far worse than being stabbed with a sword. And then in 40 yeah I agree, I think that he came riding on the horse and she did not look like she was stabbed or anything. She was just probably exhausted and got injured but again was saved by the physician and they went back to that country where they felt the most peace and had two kids. I think that is the ending for the two of them and then 30 some odd years later ML and SML meet on that same snowfield where he nearly took the other’s life in the very beginning. I mean that’s a good come around circle but I do wish that all that weird coloring dream shit was unnecessary and bringing back people that were killed and murdered throughout the series was also unnecessary. Had they stuck to the book? It would’ve been a good series, but they gave us this and so we finished the way we finish it and we’re done with it. Moving onto other things.

That’s what I interpreted as the ending that he didn’t die in 39 because it just doesn’t make sense he could’ve been stabbed, but I don’t think he died just because of everything else that had happened to him in this drama it wouldn’t make sense. They have that miracle physician, dude that can heal poisons and get people out of lakes and do all sorts of things so I’m sure he can handle this too. To me for them it was just like that they were in that country with kids because if you think about it when ML and FL did their interviews one was him by himself and the other one was the two of them together she called it an OE and he called it an HE so even if they couldn’t agree on that then obviously fans watching wouldn’t agree on the ending either. So for me after going through everything and seeing everything and have resilient, he is I think he was badly hurt but I don’t think he died in 39. I think he was treated recovered and came to save her on that battlefield and she was gravely injured and then was taken back to that doctor to be treated as well.

I really wish they had stuck to the book honestly because after all that crap that they went through with plagiarism I think it was a different team, but what not if they had stuck to the book it would’ve been perfect. And I am not a source material reader, but after the cliffhanger from the first season, I wanted to know what happened so I found the book online and I read it and I was like “wow this would be really cool if they could finish it.” But I think their biggest problems here were calling it a sequel. They should’ve called it either an adaptation or a compilation, and then people wouldn’t have been comparing it to the first one, but the fact that from the beginning, they were touting it as a sequel was probably one of their biggest downfalls.

What does he have that’s unfinished? I know he’s got a few that are either in review or already got their distribution licenses and are just waiting to air, but I didn’t know he had things in the works.

Lord, I hope not. He needs to move onto his next project and leave this one alone. I think he hinted about a month ago that he was going to work with DW so let him do that instead leave this show alone it was great and we do not need a season two.

Honestly, we can’t because there are so many different opinions. You really have to watch it yourself and figure it out even the actors I mean the leads one said one thing, one said another thing so you can’t really have everyone in the same circle. The last episode is only 30 minutes long so you should hopefully get an understanding.

Yeah, there’s no way logic can ever apply to these things especially when you have people flying off cliffs and surviving so yeah now. I do wish that the crazy color crap at the end was unnecessary. I don’t know what happened. The story was pretty solid for the most part and then toward the end, it started to just snowball down the hill out of control.

Well, every single person has their own thinking of how it was and if he wasn’t real, then him and YX meeting on the snow in the very real film without the dreamscape colors was real, so he could’ve been impaled on a sword but recovered you have to remember this is the man that has been poisoned has been arrowed to death and was frozen in a lake so I don’t necessarily believe that. But everyone can believe what they want. As long as they don’t create another sequel, we’re great.

I know there’s a lot of different opinions going around about the ending (including the leads because she said it was an OE and he said it was an HE so add them to the pile; and I know that someone said in 39 that he took himself out, but you have to remember this is the same man that was frozen in a lake, harpooned by arrows, poisoned to the point of no return, and still survived and he had a miracle physician so I think he survived that as well. Also remember in C dramas people fly off cliffs regularly and survive I call it cliff diving. We’ve even had a few in this show and everybody survived multiple times. So to me personally I’m going to end it where they have kids they’re living in that place where they wanted to live and they’re happy and then some odd years later she’s an older general. He’s running the kingdom and what’s his face meets him on the ice like that’s my ending and I am not discussing it any further lol.) I don’t need to watch anymore. I understood what I needed to understand I don’t like the whole dreamscape of people that have passed all of a sudden being happy somewhere but for the leads, I do think that they are still where they need to be and together that’s all I’m saying. I think the series would’ve done much better had they not called it a sequel and called it compilation maybe or an adaptation but the choppy editing toward the end was not good. This is the second drama in close proximity that has dealt with choppy editing toward the end that I’ve seen anyways. I’m not gonna be writing a review sorry guys not this time maybe next drama.
