"Anticlimactic", would be the best way to describe that ending. Not because it wasn't happy or whatever, but because…
And his burning question in the beginning is, "Who killed me?" but when he has lived as Yoo Heon Woo and gone through all of it, he doesn't know?
The relationships in JDJ's family are pretty fucked up too, with the father being another scumbag and the mother whose son never really thought of her as his true mother. I was really hoping they'd tie all these loose ends up by the end, but here we are.
"Anticlimactic", would be the best way to describe that ending. Not because it wasn't happy or whatever, but because they left so many things out. Repentance? So it was a dream?? Wtf? Lackluster, to say the least.
I will admit, this is still one of the good ones for me, as I thouroughly enjoyed the journey despite the end.
They could have used Ha In Seok, one of the few people inside Soonyang on Jin Do Jun's side, in literally any other way—but they chose to make him move the plot forward?
I don't really get the problem... I've been watching both of them and I loved them both! They're both extremely entertaining and top tier in their own genres. They also vastly vary in target audiences and genres, so is it truly fair to compare them?
And why is everyone arguing so much? 😭 Just watch what you like, and let others watch what they like. Live and let live, people.
Damn, he's donating all of it? I wouldn't have had an ounce of any sort of negative feelings even he didn't, but I just respect him so much more now. I really hope he knows that he's an amazing person and doesn't blame himself for something that happened with no fault of his. We stan this gigachad! I really hope he tears the company down, and brings justice and spreads awareness as well.
Tbh this series grew on me, and I would rate it a solid 7.... but kinda peeved with how they introduced s2. We do NOT need bs with someone coming in between them again 🤦♂️
I love and appreciate the fact that there are 3 eps aired every week, and especially during the weekend time, bc my impatient ass could not handle the suspense 😭
Idk about you but this series has kind of grown on me and I find it endearing even though about 80% of it it literally sucks, and I don't want it to end so soon... I like this shitshow.
1)Yj and charles were lovers. It's not said but the hints were enough. Charles even said he wasn't in the plan…
1. Rlly hoping it's confirmed! :')
3. Makes me wonder, then what was the purpose of inluding her character in the drama? Is it as a red-herring sort of thing or simply for a more dramatic element? Bc it seems highly uncharacteristic for such a drama to include such a character.
4. Right... I feel terribly sorry for them. But the last ep included Eun Ki saying that the parents of those involved were very hurt, etc. and they even showed some shots of the supposed parents crying pitifully and everything, so I was curious.
To those who seem to be hell-bent on justifying the murder of fifteen human beings who are of the same species as ours, did you not get the message this drama is trying to convey? It is literally cinematographically highlighted when RSJ says, "No motive can or should justify murder," during RSH's jury trial. It is also propagated by the fact that RSH does not get a death sentence but life imprisonment instead. I rest my case.
IMO, the ending was reasonably satisfactory. It was somewhat anti-climactic when the Crazy Dog and Yoon Jae just killed each other in a short dog fight. I interpret it as their actions being far too heinous and since death being the only retribution, it was orchestrated this way. Though ik that anyone even remotely trained in this sort of expertise would not have put them both in the same prison, in such close proximity.
I have a couple of questions, though:
1. What was the exact relationship between Yoon Jae and Charles? I'm really hoping it's not something like 'brothers from different mothers' bc I am rooting for them to be lovers in the show.
2. How tf did RSH manage to rig the jury trial at the beginning?
3. Why did the voodoo lady not get any retribution of any sort? Are they relying on the fact that those were just spiritual nothings simply uttered and not to be believed?
4. The drama seems to be hinting at the fact that all the children who ended up at Hope Welfare Centre were abandoned in some or the other way. I want to know more of the deets regarding this...
Note: I did watch it in bits and stiches since life got in the way, so I wouldn't mind if someone cleared these up if I missed anything!
Lastly, I really hope RSJ's mother gets the required sentence for her negligence and is stripped of her authority. Man, really wasn't expecting her to call RSJ literal "scum" after asking him for help and so blatantly jeopardizing his job. Also I'm really glad Eun Ki was one of the few morally righteous characters who remained so throughout the series all the way from the start, along with the police officers and our very own RSJ. It would've broken my heart had it turned out any other way.

Oh, and fck that CEO.
Your comment has that absolute certainty of awesomeness that I need.
I'm loving it.
The title tho, it sounds like something off of the nickelodeon channel 🤣
Can't wait for next year!

Also hoping for return of da fried chicken
Been a while since I've watched a bloody-themed drama, and I think I've gotten too queasy...

And yep agree 💯
