It's as if all stars aligned to bring them together to act in Love Scout at this point in their careers. The writing,…
Because another network JTBC posted a short clip on Instagram overnight that has crying scenes from JTBC dramas which Han Jimin and Lee Joon Hyuk starred in, some people are cutely leaving comments asking JTBC to pair the two up again.
Do you think they did the deed? They are certainly matured enough!
I hardly make it to the halfway mark for kdramas since it drives me batty when they do what you describe or the plot meanders and there are too many side characters to fill time for 16 episodes. I'm very used to shorter episodes length from watching jdramas and think the 12 episode trend is a good development.
I like the pace that the writer took to develop the relationship between Ji Yun and Eun Ho. It was enjoyable watching how both of them changed and their mutual admiration and attraction grew as they interacted more with each other. But I would have preferred a condensed form of Ep 7 to launch them into happier times before Ep 8. I think some scenes in Ep 9, which felt tonally strange and didn't really add to the plot like Jeong Hoon and Eun Ho arm wrestling, could have been dropped in favour of more scenes with our leads! I was also hoping that they would speed things up and not wait until the end for the big revelation but oh well that's not an unexpected ploy to wring our hearts and leave us clamouring for the next episode ... ... Had they not been so ambitious and kept to a corporate drama minus childhood trope, it would have been just right. Now it feels like they actually need an extra episode so they don't have to rush the ending and we have more time with the characters we love. We can only wait to see what happens next.
I think, it will be more like....he quits because he feels guilty and he is aware of her insomnia and how she…
Do they still have to resort to this for ratings in 2025 when Ji Yun and Eun Ho seem like they would be a different kind of couple with a relationship that is strong enough to weather a crisis like this?
Dreading this possibility as Ji Yun is so very emotional about her father's passing that in real life. Even if she now can put a face to the person whom her father sacrificed his life for and start to come to terms with the past, will her usual rational self or emotions prevail in this instance. The ending scene of the preview gives some hope and yet it could be deliberately misleading. Does Ji Yun thank Eun Ho because she has made peace with the past and wants to carry on or does it mean the end for now? I would like to think Eun Ho's love and care, that has slowly warmed her heart and changed her life, can help her look beyond the past and overcome decades of bitterness about her father's death.
There are quite a few strands to tie up in three episodes so I really hope they don't go down this tired route and fill Ep 10 with unnecessary scenes like I felt they did in parts of Ep 9. It would be more interesting to see Ji Yun end ties with Chairman Woo and find a better investor and find out what Eun Ho wants for his career.
Do you think they did the deed? They are certainly matured enough!
It'll be nice if the episodes continue to blend personal and professional rather than overwhelm us with the not very intriguing corporate scheming.
Career Way's CEO is not really an antagonist that's worth remembering since her idea of winning against Ji Yun is to steal candidates or intelligence. And she'll do the same again in Ep 10. It'll be good riddance and closure for Ji Yun if the truth about what happened at Career Way finally comes to light too.
I thought Jeong Hoon's father would strike at Ji Yun to teach her a lesson for walking out of the party since he looks like the sort who would hold grudges. But surprisingly nothing has happened.
Do you think they did the deed? They are certainly matured enough!
Agree! Eun Ho was so tense the whole time that I don't think he could enjoy the outing with so much going on in his mind. That look that he had when he saw Ji Yun and Byeol interacting happily must have made him feel wistful about what the future could hold. They definitely need to dedicate some time for this precious threesome for the next few episodes. Looking forward to seeing Byeol's reaction when dad tells her that he's dating Ji Yun.
Han Jimin's eyes are so damn expressive! ✨ She doesn't even need much dialogue to convey all of her character's…
It's as if all stars aligned to bring them together to act in Love Scout at this point in their careers. The writing, directing, music, location sets have all been handled with so much thought, care and love for the drama.
It'll be great if they can pair up again for another drama if they find a script that interests them. Han Jimin spoke about wanting to do a comedy with Lee Joon Hyuk some day in one of the interviews (think the Ep 3 tteokbokki scene gave her the idea) when she was doing the rounds to promote Love Scout.
Do you think they did the deed? They are certainly matured enough!
Hoping because Lee Joon Hyuk teased that there would be "kisses and everything"?
Eun Ho wouldn't have suddenly left Byeol with Su-Hyeon overnight although they are close like @Clara asiana123 pointed out he's a dutiful father. And you can imagine the interrogation from Byeol, there would be so much explaining to do!
The closing scene when he visited Ji Yun to tell her what he had discovered also shows that he never made it past the corridor a few nights earlier. When Ji Yun led him into the living room, it is clear that he took a moment to look around and absorb his surroundings before his expression changed.
There are still three more episodes so your wishes may still come true.
I think, it will be more like....he quits because he feels guilty and he is aware of her insomnia and how she…
I don't believe Eun Ho will quit and leave Ji Yun unless she pushes him out of her life. He's been her protector since they started working together. Even though he feels guilty, he's already hinted at a strong desire to continue protecting and caring for her after finding out the truth. He looked so gutted when he actually registered how cold and empty her apartment looked (on top of what he learned about Ji Yun's past from Miae) before he told her what he had found out. I think, if anything, that strengthens his resolve to be by her side through this rough patch.
I'm nervous about how Ji Yun will process her feelings. But I hope very much to see the two of them comfort each other and heal from the tragedy together. That's the only way for both of them to move on. It's somewhat bittersweet that Ji Yun told Miae earlier on that she loves Eun Ho for who he is and how he's lived his life. It will take on a deeper significance when she decides that she still wants this love that they have.
They'll become the industry's formidable power couple when they are ready.
I need someone to smack that grin of the face of the WayFar CEO, Hye Jin, asap. Effing biatch !
Anyone cheered when Eun Ho told Career Way's CEO that she wouldn't want Ji Yun to be her competition, and told her to play fair when she asked him if he knows what Ji Yun is truly like.
Not that this woman knows any other way to operate and the preview shows how fair she is going to be to win. I hope they wrap up this fight for top position quickly. She doesn't make a formidable and interesting foe.
Doubt so. The CEO of Career Way had a different surname
They don't have time for more twists. Hope they remember that they were making a 12 episode drama and not rush the ending.
There's still the Chairman Woo and Career Way showdown which amuses me since there seems to be no urgency and it's sort of on the back burner while the childhood angst is dealt with.
I thought they would handle the past connection differently but..😐
Unfortunately they're determined to distress viewers. It looks like it Ep 10 is going to be downright depressing. Ji Yun needs to come to terms with what happened and hopefully it's not an angst-filled version of Ep 7 since Eun Ho doesn't deserve to feel wrecked with guilt for what happened. The discovery is important to help her to find closure and move on from her resentment of her father but I wonder what she will eventually decide to do about her relationship with Eun Ho. It's ambiguous in the preview when she thanks him for growing up to be a good person.
Who would have known when production billed this as a "healing drama" that it would mean the leads would have a childhood connection and need to heal from childhood trauma.
Another thing I really like about this drama is that the background is in the background? Like it's clear Ji Yun…
On that note, it would be a nice touch and pleasant surprise if they have Ji Yun ask Eun Ho to keep her company on the day she learns about their shared past because she doesn't want to be alone with her thoughts and feelings. No contrived separation, just them drawing comfort and strength from each other. And they visit her father's memorial together in Ep 10.
They're only postponing it because of the lunar new year, viewership would be low during that time. They are likely…
Isn't it strange that SBS made the decision this late in the week. Did someone just wake up or was it indecisiveness. If they're shifting two episodes to Saturdays which is supposedly the day when ratings for most dramas tend to be better compared to Fridays, they're obviously hoping the drama will break 12% and go even higher.
Give us the "healing romance" arc without unnecessary angst and frustration, and a happy, satisfying ending.
She didn't need to be rescued, she was holding her own. Eun Ho stepped in anyway. She clearly no longer wants…
The episode runs a tad too long and they should have reined it in (like another episode with a similar run time). But stick it out. It helps establish Eun Ho's character and motivations.
Her good qualities are pretty obvious:-She’s smart (you can be a hard worker, but not particularly smart and…
I'd add admiration and fascination too to the opposites attract. As Eun Ho got to know Ji Yun better professionally and personally, he kept discovering different sides to her which made his reassess the impression he had of her as a cold, harsh, demanding and self-serving person. It's like peeling away the layers. He learns how she's come this far to be CEO, that she can be warm, encouraging and reassuring, and also sees her vulnerabilities and endearing quirks.
She didn't need to be rescued, she was holding her own. Eun Ho stepped in anyway. She clearly no longer wants…
Absolutely. Ji Yun didn't need saving and she looked like she wanted to protest when Eun Ho stepped in. Why tolerate an investor who insults her and her profession. I would have been disappointed if Ji Yun suddenly became meek and submissive because Chairman Woo is her biggest shareholder. It would be totally out of character for her.
We're here for Eun Ho showing Ji Yun that she no longer has to fight her battles alone. He was clearly being protective but he could have also been projecting his own feelings from his experiences of being personally attacked by his vindictive boss at his former company.
Anyway, the break between Peoplez and Chairman Woo is inevitable since the old man relates better to Careerway's reptilian CEO.
It's delightful that Ji Yun and Eun Ho listen to each other and respect that they each have a part of their life…
There's no drama without some contrived angst/cliches/stereotypes as someone told me when we were making our own little short film this month!
Since there's no avoiding it, we can only brace ourselves and hope they're going to have enough time for more sizzling romance (don't ever lose that spark), happy family bonding with Byeol, and maybe a petty moment so Eun Ho gets the last laugh on his nasty ex-boss.

It's cute how they are so giddily in love and their besties are so thrilled for them.
