Yes I'm assuming this is their first time falling in love, however my assumptions aren't based on nothing. To this day homosexuality is not fully accepted yet in South Korea. They do not get locked up like in other countries but they do still face discrimination from others. For the crown prince, I think he's from the Joseon era. Perhaps we are just expecting more from Korea? They are known for creating the most beautiful and captivating love stories. Yet all the bl dramas have been very mediocre with actors who have barely any experience. Thai BL dramas have always been ahead of their time, not great but we've gotten used to the way those dramas are. So we've lowered our expectations and are already hyping up something that would be less good if it was in a different situation.
