When Jin Joo gave birth, she was crying holding her mom’s picture because she wasn’t there for her. I was…
The mother definitely died before the baby was born. The mother died around 2009, which is when Michael Jackson died (as said in the drama) while the baby was born around 2016-2017 so there was almost a decade between the death of the mother and the birth of their child. They mended their relationship within that time but he probably carried the guilt over the years while she kept some hidden resentment because of it. That's why their marriage fell apart. They didn't communicate and let their wounds fester for a really long time.
As for the phone call, it was from the husband's mother, and she said to not send peaches since the husband is allergic. At that point, her actual mother has long passed.
Legendary Lackey is my ultimate favorite KBS drama special. It's hilarious, and I watch it whenever I need a pick-me-up so I think I've watched it over 20 times now. If anyone knows a good comedy drama special, please recommend.
There's a lot! Here's a list of my favorite kdramas with none: - Ugly Alert - Angry Mom (the female lead is a married mom) - Rooftop Prince - Splash Splash Love
The idea and concept itself was great - the two mains learning from each other and forming a friendship. Overall, good idea, but iffy, and debatable execution. The way the characters are portrayed is outdated. It probably worked back then, but now, maybe not. HOWEVER, I am extremely ticked off by some things at the end.
For one, there's the freaking ending for the married couple. Is she just gonna trust him wholeheartedly that he didn't cheat? She isn't gonna confront him about it? Why not? Because he is an 'honest' guy? Yeah right. How can that kind of marriage last? Speaking of honesty, what the hell is with that?! He is supposed to be an honest man but he constantly lies to his wife when he meets Sojung, and he lies to Sojung about who he actually is. He even hides from Byeongman about the conditions of the job offer. Wow, he truly is 'honest'. Man, the main male character is just ughh. The 'I quit' scene was over the top. He did not have to yell to his boss like that.
