This one had a few weak points but the performances were really good, it's very intense, needs all the sexual assault trigger warnings, but also has soft scenes.
In the anime, Mafuyu's Song is actually episode 9 of 11 and there's an afterstory movie. The drama seems like it will leave out a lot, if you wonder why all of these characters don't seem relevant yet.
I've been loving this series - but I found this last episode tiresome. Strings break constantly - it's an absolutely…
This stuff is all key in the Manga but some stuff sort of gets dropped due to length. But Kaji's relationship with Ugetsu is a key feature in the story after the performance, in case they do a sequel.
So after 5 episodes here are my casting opinions, as a huge fan of the Manga and anime: Uenoyama: Still perfect, 10/10 Mafuyu: Has grown on me, 8/10 Haruki: pretty good, 7/10 Kaji: meh, 4/10 Yuki: excellent, 8/10 Ugetsu: pretty good, 7/10
The story tracks the anime pretty closely with some compression and dropped subplots. The music is different from the anime, I'm interested to hear a new take on Mafuyu's Song.
