Very interesting article. I too have asked myself this question. I prefer literal translation. I really like it when the subbers translate weird expressions and then explain it with a * or (). I think it's the best way to translate, and you don't miss anything while learning new things.

I was the same, but I saw Park Shin Hye as the second female lead in Goong S. She was supposed to be an evil rich girl and she was great. So I think she just doesn't chose the right characters to play.
