Very interesting article. I too have asked myself this question. I prefer literal translation. I really like it when the subbers translate weird expressions and then explain it with a * or (). I think it's the best way to translate, and you don't miss anything while learning new things.
I really like it when the translation is faithful to the script.

Well, that was really useless... But if anyone didn't watch the drama and wants to know the all plot, watch the special instead of the drama, it's a biiiig recap...

I was the same, but I saw Park Shin Hye as the second female lead in Goong S. She was supposed to be an evil rich girl and she was great. So I think she just doesn't chose the right characters to play.
