The elderly couple made it well, without being too cringe. And I am happy for HIY having a male lead with a happy ending. I've wanted to watch FBC because I knew the OG story. But I feel, comparing is not worth it, as both had different feelings and directions. But one thing they nailed the best: the two fathers! They really felt like an old bickering couple in both versions. Another thing, which I liked about this drama, is that there is no main lead as a couple.
