There are 5 countries in this drama. The male lead is Wuji. He is the crown prince of Tianquan kingdom which actually governs Taiyuan - where he was faking the crown prince. The real crown prince of Taiyuan is the doctor and they will return the kingdom to him

They need to tone Fuyao down for Chinese national TV in her mercilessness and ruthless. In fact they need to change many things ( cut out time travel and fuyao love interests) to please uncle SARFT or they won't be able to make the drama.

Yang Mi is doing her best even I think the script writer still didn't know what to do with her after all the force changes

This drama is complicated with 5 countries's political fight.
Draggy? They don't have time for that with 7 books to squeezing into 66 eps.
But because it's complicated and has a lot character so it's understanding if you don't understand and loose the focus.
You probably don't want many political fighting chinese dramas as international viewers but it's a genre there... This drama is like a mix of everything.

YLZ isn't supposed to be annoying when she is the actress from production company if you know what that means. I think he will realize he love her at the end as they will be together... Because the drama seems to going to give better ending for all Fuyao's love interests unlike the book lol

Haha some people don't like how the female lead has everyone love her. But I still enjoy the girl getting all the love she should get.

Well I care about the dynamics of my OTP. I like the male lead being jealous than the female lead being jealous. I don't disagree with them cutting out the marry sue parts but why didn't they cut off some of Wuji's too when they cut half of her? Isn't it unfair? He has too much power and in too much control right now which I don't like. This drama turns to be a legend of wuji instead legend of fuyao.

Yes the doctor is the third ship in the book. And I was mad seeing the trailer of ep 22. While I know he is faking it I still want Fuyao teach him a lesson LOL. He is too safe in the drama where Fuyao is around by all the handsome and great guys in the novel that he wouldn't dare lol

Doctor is supposed to love fuyao in the book... but they changed it in the drama to avoid reversed harem lol

I'm actually not happy they cut out Zong Yue as her love interest... He loves her in the novel but not in the drama. I think it'd be awesome just to have Wuji getting jealous consider how close they are lol

What do you mean? Fuyao based on a book... so you know she has like 4-5 love interests. But the drama already cut out Yun Hen and Zong Yue and created a new love interest for them. There are other guys in the novel but I'm not sure if he show up in the drama..

So it's only Wuji and Zhan Bei ye for her now... Not sure if they let ZBY going all the way like the novel or just staying at "admiring" her as wiki stated.

Wuji's other love interests is Tai Yan and the lotus princess.

There is much more political plots in the book too but Fuyao is always the focus along with is, not just a side way. And they made her character a lot weaker, less smart has no substance unlike the book too... Wuji is always a great character in the book but there are other smart and good guys who fight along with and compete for her affection as well... But they cut all most of it here and even take let away the focus from Fuyao so Wuji is getting all the attention.
I notice drama script writers always make the male lead "better" than the book and the female leads "worse... So you are probably right. TMOPB wouldn't be successful if people didn't love Yehua... and they love the drama Yehua much more than the novel's. Same here they seem to give Wuji's all the dept and spotlight but not much on Fuyao, unlike the book
So just like you I hope they don't just use Yangmi name and Fuyao tittle and turn it's to a male center show...

In case you are new to Chinese dramas...
The 3 are in one theme - strong women centrist so there will be a lot of similarities.
TMOPB, Flame daughter and Fuyao have the same costume designer Stanley Cheung.
PA and Fuyao have the same martial arts choreographer Li Cai who also did Hero, House of Flying Daggers movies. So if you see their fight and slow motions are similar it's no surprise. YangMi doesn't have control over everything whether or not she knows.

They cut 3 of her love interests out from the drama so she doesn't have a reversed harem here. But it's unfair how Wuji still get to keep his 2 love interests and some concubines in this up coming episodes to make Fuyao jealous...

While I understand the reason for the most of the changes, I hate that the drama focus on the political plot and Wuji instead of Fuyao like the book. They are giving Wuji all the spotlight and not the tittle character.

This comes late but Heavenly father is the god that created everything and is the oldest of course. YH's granfather is the leader of dragron clan and was chosen to lead the god because basically no one is doing it. DH retired and ZY didn't want it nor the fox clan...
So yes Heavenly father is above that why why MY and YH has so much power compared to others

Her trial shouldn't be an excuse for his thoughtless and selfishness though... If another person did it then that person wronger her...
But YH has learned and tried to not repeat his mistake again after loosing her once. That's why when he met her again, he would do anything to protect her- something he failed to do the 1st time :)
Actually, YH would fall in love with BQ if he didn't met Susu. He loved Susu because she is Siyin so he would love BQ too but it'd take much longer because BQ is much harder to approach and without Susu's history YH wouldn't dare to act the way he did. But it'd be no heartbreak and drama for us to enjoy

I agree with you. But I'm saying people are blaming Susu or BQ when they failed to see YH is the one that did many wrong things that caused her suffer. She was really innocent as Susu... yet was so miserable and humiliated

She is raised to be a proud queen and has been spoiled or looked up by everyone in her life. So yes she is prideful and acts like a queen she is. Besides her mom, she is the highest goddess and beyond everyone, which is why she is fearless and does whatever she wants. That's the difference between BQ and Susu.
Even the marriage arrangement between BQ and YH, BQ is still the one that makes the final call when YH never had a say from the beginning.
She is usually aloof but she is also the kind that would give herself without asking for people she cares and loves like what she did to MY.
But she isn't passionate and gentle like other ladies as she lived as a guy and around by all the guys.
