Ha, so you gave Secret a 7? It's still a decent score, so I guess you didn't hate it ;)
Oh, I love thrillers made in Korea, they really know how to build a tension. Imo japanese are better at making deep, psychological movies - they always know how to move me to thinking, I love their cinematography for that (and also for those mindfuck kind of movies ;P). Have you seen any good thriller made in Japan? I'm asking because I couldn't find anything decent lately.
Ooops, you're right, I looked at the cast and didn't notice that Nakadai is just supporting here, I've heard of Mifune a lot (SuedeGirl again, haha :D), of course only good things ;)
Ah, I see, so you still have a lot great movies to discover!

Haha, I'm curious how will you rate Secret when it ends then :)
Hm, I'm not giving up on Seppuku remake then, I'll watch it, but first some classic movies wait to be watched. Hm, I don't really have an experience with older movies, I really like samurai theme but I'd also like to watch other genres too. Now I'm watching The Face Of Another and it's more like a psychological movie, the action is held in the 60's and it's really good sp far. As for Seven Samurai, it's a perfect example of a movie I'm always saying to myself that I'll watch next, but then something else always comes up. Yojimbo I haven't heard of, but it has Nakadai so it has to be good, adding to list then! Have you started watching japanese classics a long time ago? ;)

Nah, haven't dropped it, I will go back to it when it ends and I'll just marathone (in an hour max) the rest of eps to see how it all ends :D Haha, hang in there then, it ends this week right?
Yup, Harakiri/Sepuku is a great film, actually I was planning on watching a remake first (because Eita and Mitsushima Hikari are in it and I LOVE them both!), but SuedeGirl convinced me to watch the original and well, now I feel it couldn't be done any better. Have you seen the remake? If so, is it worth watching even if I've seen the older version?
Btw I have to see more classic movies made in Japan. I always say I will, but then I end up watching another brainless drama... Have you seen anything interesting lately (I mean movies ofc, not brainless dramas ;P)
I see everyone writing their theories on who Na Jeong is going to end up with, so I'd thought I'd post one of…
Ok, so I checked out my source: I've read it on soompi forum and somewhere in dramabeans comment section, apparently there was a radio interview with guys playing Binggrae and Haitai and they told the thing about the stand-in and the husband being a secret even for the cast. I don't know wether this is 100% valid but my guess is that it is true, because clearly the screenwriter and the PD like to tease us A LOT.

It's not that I'm watching Secret Love, more like checking what's going on from time to time; I've seen 8 eps and it took me two hours at most to watch them, I skipped A LOT of scenes. Just wanted to see why people were so amazed.
I see everyone writing their theories on who Na Jeong is going to end up with, so I'd thought I'd post one of…
As for that part: "Also, it seemed pretty obvious by the back body shape of her groom that it was Chil Bong. The groom was skinnier than Trash, a lot more similar to Chil Bong's body, hmmm..." ---> from what I've read somewhere you shouldn't compare Trash Oppa and Chilbongie's measurements with the groom on the vid, simply because the guy we partly see at the wedding video is... a stand-in, a completely random guy. Apparently, the actors don't know themselves who will end up as Na Jeong's husband, it's a big secret just like in Reply 1997 (althought in 1997 it was really obvious who will end up as a husband, but that was not oficially said). Also, I would be wary of any clues we think the screenwriters are giving us, simply because they so want to screw with our minds.
Btw, I'm totally team Oppa :D

Oh, so you're watching Secret Love? Do you like it? I checked it out, people were really raving about it, but for me it's not awesomely awesome, it's good, but too melodramatic for my taste. Plus the main heroine had too many plastic surgeries - she looks scary.
Oh yeah, I LOVE mystery! Crime/thriller is my favourite genre, so I guess Ice World is just for me ;) I'm okay with old dramas, I mean I don't particulary love them but also have nothing against them, I'm not an drama ageist :D Yeah, romance in this kind of dramas doesn't always work out, I prefer if there is absolutely no romance (let's leave that for rom-coms), but if you say it doesn't ruin things then I'll believe you and check this drama out.

I agree, watching 2 eps a week is easier, but I tend to fast-forward through completed dramas, especially korean ones. J-dramas are shorter and because of that focus mostly on important things, they don't waste time on some side plots so much, thank God for that!
You guessed right, Reply is a huge surprise for me, because I wasn't even going to watch it and now it's like my crack drama ;) I'm a bit bored with Marry Him If You Dare, it started really good, but now is boring and I hate Yong Hwa and the other drama is Unemployed Romance which is too much like taiwanese dramas.
Btw, I see you have Ice World in your favourites. Could you tell me something about this drama? Is it THAT good? :D

Ahh, I get it now, k-dramas can be a bit tiring.
To tell you the truth normally I do not watch ANY currently airing dramas, I just don't like all this waiting, often I just loose the interest in a drama along the way. I prefer starting the completed ones, be it korean or japanese. Lately I broke my rule as you see, because I was really excited about those dramas, but well, now I see I should have waited because I want to drop 2 of the 3 dramas I have on my currently watchig list.

I know what you mean, normally I don't watch two or more dramas at the same time too, but I was very eager about this season's new dramas so I broke my rule.
As for your question - I've seen Reply 1997 and... I didn't really love it. It was an okay drama for me, really easy to watch, funny and fast-paced, but also... too predictable. Reply 1994 so far wins the comparision. It's more about character development and relationships (not only romantic), plus the 'love triangle' is one big mistery so far.
Have you seen Reply 1997? If so, did you like it? ;)

Yup, Ai to Makoto, I was talking about that one. Well, I may be in minority on MDL but I don't like Crows Zero that much, I don't mind violence, deliquents etc but this movie didn't work for me, even if Yamada Takayuki plays in it (but I loved his character there!).
Btw, I think I saw your post where you were considering starting Reply 1994 - my advice: start it nooow! It is sooo good, mostly it's family/slice of life drama, romance is not very important right now ;)

I love this weird type of j-movies, romance and melo doesn't work for me in japanese mvies/dramas. Haha, thanks for the warning, I'll keep that in mind ;) I think I saw your review of one of Satoshi's films and from what I remember you gave it a pretty low score. But it was something about a deliquent and dancing, wasn't it? If so, even the idea sounds lame for me :P

Yup, I've seen it and I loved it ;) I was planning on watching season 2 also, but a fellow Komikado-lover was pretty disappointed with the first ep and was reaaally sceptical about this whole romance thingy, so I decided to wait and see how will people react to the new season. I have nothing against romance, but in my opinion the strenght of the Legal High series lays in Komikado's personality and the drama's absurd humour, I'm afraid the romance may change things for the worse. But well, I guess I have to see myself how is it ;)
