I enjoyed this drama a lot more than I thought I would. The final episode left me with more questions than answers though. The one thing that stood out for me was what Seo-ri said to the Grand Prince before she took an arrow for him. That he needed to live so that someone special to her would live. Whether or not it was love for her, I don't know, but Seo-ri obviously cared for him when she was a court lady. He obviously was in love with her, enough to give his life for her. This is a man who's love is very well documented and on dispay in a musuem. I felt his heartbreak when she spoke those words. I would've preferred if she had said that she needed for him to live, that as much as she was doing this for Se-gye she was also doing it for the prince. I think she owed him that much. The prince basically went onto live a life on the run with Dansim. Are we to assume that he knows she isn't the woman he fell in love with? If so, are we to assume he continued to love her one-sided or that he fell in love with Dansim? As I've said, there is a lot of questions unanswered but none of them matter to me as much as this.
They could make a S2 with Kang Min Ki as the ML. In ep 11, he said something along the lines of how rare it is for her to meet the people from her first life in the same form and that he hasn't been so lucky. Apart from his story, everything else tied up nicely. He hasn't had closure, it'd be interesting to see his story - the origins of his curse and how he has come to know so much for someone who hasn't stopped remembering his past lives. I think his story would be much more interesting 🤔
