Him being brought in as a special investigator already proves he is better than average police. Also when he stopped few steps immediately after bumping into the vigilante at the hospital. That already says he noted him cause he began to chase after him. He could have ignored it as a random passerby/strangebut he didn't. We kind of have to go with the assumption he is really good at his job. Better than average joe.

First he is a police with clearly alot of investigation background. Second he met the vigilante when he was escaping that crime scene...saw his face and noted it. When he met the professor he already had an inkling that the vigilante must have access to police records hence he asked about the students...also alerting the professor who connected the dots and is somehow protecting his student who was already coming to school with injuries thus telling him not to help with the app anymore. Him knowing it was vigilnate was a 1+1=2 situation
The thug police beats people in a way thats very disrespectful Like it honestly makes the opponent feel small diminished and just humiliation. Like how you punch me to sleep 😂😂😂or throw someone like they weigh absolutely nothing 🥴🥴🥴. Not breaking a sweat too. Like he literally destroys the willpower of a fighting opponent 😭😭😭.
Both leads learned something. Xu si was able to realize as an ivestor that their is emotional attachment to business owners that he previously fully disregarded.
Jiang hu relationship with teng yue or more so with business evolved. She was extremely emotionally attached to TY in a boderline unhealthy manner businesswise. The whole merger acquisition saga kind of servered that and with how she is with cloudwear she is able to do business much better and clearer.
In every relation -also among friends, parents, siblings etc- there will be times when one person will not understand…
This would be the case if jiang hu had different layers or dimensions. She doesn't. All she has is teng yue. Literally. That's it. A lover(Xu si) who boldly said "lets get married "should atleast know that. Like it's dumb how the writers have him trying to figure out how important teng yue really is for jiang hu when it's all she has. He not having deeper attachment to it other than another business venture is valid. He started it and he should finish it with the merger. However he should not expect some grace from the lover after taking away all she has.
Xu si should continue that M&A of Teng Yue by Aneda. Enough delaying even trying to mansge the company just to maybe feel what jiang hu does about Teng yue. He never will cause he is a pure business man and thats okay. This is an L in life and its not the first nor the last L jiang hu will take businesses wise. She is healing in her own way by trying focusing on cloudwear. Like trying to replace TY. Xu si clearly can't see that the level of pissed jiang hu is right now is 100% because they were in relationship. He went about the acquisition news the wrong way cause for him he can separate between business and private. Most people won't if the shit is mixed.

This show is just good tv. Needed more episodes to stretch the story out a bit better for development but even still 4 episodes in and its just crazy from all sides. Vigilante /serial killer in a cop. Copy cat rich kid wanting to cos play superhero. A cop who is more of a thug but whatever gets the job done. A professor who is for sure protecting his criminal student.
Its just jaw drop after jaw drop. Like i said...Good Tv.
They had the opportunity to stretch the rejection angst. And actually show how kang gets to realize maybe he does like sailom over the next few episodes. But they just doing shit on that writting room cause now all of a sudden he dont like the girl he was crazy about. Also they didn't need an uncomfortable long kiss. Like a sudden light peck fits better. Like an impulsive jealous decison by kang

Acting storyline chemistry business aspect is all top tier
I think the storyline development is what i had an issue with the most.
Everything was happening too fast with poor building.
