I did watched JOL and I agree on that. So again if you watched JOL can you say this one is at same level of acting and writing ? 🤭🤣
JOL is miles ahead compared with this one.
That is why we have several dramas to compare otherwise everything is a 10 and every actor is master and everything is masterpiece 😆

I find Douban score accurate. And I am generalising based on the drama stats.if you check them you see majority of users are under 25yo.

Preferences is one thing. Calling it masterpiece it means not discerning or having low expectations from a drama.

But I see you haven't watched many great C dramas to have an etalon : Nirvana in Fire, The Longest day in Changan, The Rise of Phoenixes, Story of Minglan etc Those are easy 10.
But again I can understand why ladies in their early 18-20 like it for the romance

Yes I do not like the leads as in their characters in the drama. I liked many secondary characters though.
