No, actually this movie is not about “black specifically somali trauma”. It’s about a bunch of Korean people trying to get out from the war zone. So it’s their trauma. They have something to do with it because they wanted to survive and go back to their home country. On the contrary, the Somali have nothing to do with it. Because the place (Mogadishu) is just a mere tool for the storyline to move forward. They can change “Mogadishu” with “Gaza, Palestine” and storyline will still be the same. They don’t have to use real Somali people, real Palestinian, or real Mogadishu or Gaza because those aren’t the focus of the movie.
