The Chinese drama is very very good, maybe it goes deeper into the character development. But each of them, the Chinese original and the Korean version, are good. So, go ahead!

However, I would truly appreciate it if she could cultivate her own distinct image, one that doesn't conform to trends. The original Chinese drama "Go Ahead" is outstanding. The performances of the three children in the early episodes are remarkable for the dramatic intensity they deliver.

I also hope that you don't take what I'm going to say the wrong way, especially because Zhao Lu Si is one of my favorite actresses. But I miss the outgoing and spontaneous Chinese girl Zhao Lusi, aspects that created extreme sympathy among the public. It's a shame that she opted for a more sophisticated image, common to many Korean actresses, which prevents her unique identity from shining through. She decided to follow the trends of the powerful Korean entertainment industry instead of creating an image that is truly her own. She was poorly advised, in my opinion.

This drama doesn't work that way - "miscommunication, misunderstandings and brilliant scenes". The protagonists soon begin to realize that there are changes in their feelings, and this confuses them and leads them to reflect and talk about their friendship, ending up admitting what they feel for each other. And little by little they create the foundations of this different relationship, but it takes time to create spaces for more intimate bonds that are just theirs, because there is also a lot of love and friendship and closeness with family and friends, which initially conditions their intimacy. But from episode 24 onwards, the real life of the couple begins, without interruptions. As for the cliché of a breakup, I don't know if there will be one... at least until episode 27, from the previews there isn't one.

We use the word "version" for everything, but we have to start differentiating "version" from "original". In this case, the only version is the K-drama "Family by Choice",, an adaptation of an original C-drama. "Go Ahead" is the original drama. The original script was written by Shui Qianmo and Wang Xiongcheng. That said, we should not make too many comparisons and watch this K-drama normally, because it is just another remake, and should be valued for what it offers!
(But we should set the record straight if someone says that "Family by Choice" is a Korean original drama. I speak from experience: the path from true friends to lovers is not easy and takes time. The bonds that unite us are very strong, we have always been used to each other... so we are afraid and confused and we need to talk about it, try to explain and calm the strange feelings that we begin to feel for each other, not giving them importance at first, wondering if it is really love, if we should move forward... Then... then it is so beautiful! That is why I like this drama and I do not find it boring, because that is how it happens...

This happens in all countries, whether discreetly or openly. We pay close attention to China and are suspicious of everything, thinking that there is always an ulterior motive, because of the bad China's image, created by the Western media. What is the problem with the Chinese talking about an issue that affects their society? This is a drama aimed primarily at the Chinese public...
Let's not forget: ALL governments and countries use their entertainment to promote themselves internally and externally. But it seems that we are blind or very naive, not seeing manipulation or propaganda in series/dramas/films from countries with much more powerful entertainment than China! Let's be fair and critical, thinking for ourselves and not thinking what they want us to think!

And yet it is no longer just friendship, it begins to be (isn't it already?) something else...

It's not just in Chinese - there are English subtitles and Tencent-We TV's different language channels on YouTube already have the first episode subtitled in those languages. As for the schedule, for free broadcasts on YouTube, it's usually one episode per day, with a break on weekends.

It's surprising to learn that the Japanese have the most adapted scripts and original dramas, which have been remade in many Asian countries. Often, they don't receive the recognition they deserve, particularly when Korean versions emerge, leading many of us to believe these K-dramas are entirely original creations. It's important to remember that complete originality is rare; around the world, series and films are frequently remade from other countries' works. We are constantly echoing and referencing each other's ideas.

Tan Songyun's character in Go Ahead is very good. In the drama, she starts out as a teenager, a tomboy, with attitudes and behaviors typical of her age and of someone who was raised by a man. We don't have to demand that all characters have adult, mature, feminist attitudes, behaviors, speeches, with profound, completely implausible reflections, or that they spend most of the drama drinking... We have to look at the cultural differences between the West and the East and pay attention to plausibility.

Of course, comparisons are inevitable! This happens with all remakes and we have to accept it! When a country remakes a K-drama, a lot of criticism immediately follows, many of them even negative. Why can't people comment on or compare a Korean remake with the original drama? The Korean remakes have to submit to the law of universal comparison between original films/series/dramas and their remakes.

Go Ahead actually has 40 episodes with a duration that varies between 42 and 45 minutes. The Korean remake, according to what I read, has a duration of 1 hour and 10 minutes per episode, which would be the equivalent of 26 episodes of 42 minutes, if we discount the opening and closing credits that are long in Cdramas.

Go Ahead is the Original drama, with an original script, written by screenwriters Shui Qianmo and Wang Xiongchen, it is not a version. I like Go Ahead, for its sensitivity and narrative rhythm that gives time to the characters in their experiences, emotions and feelings, and makes us look at it without rushing, walking with them through the routine and the unexpected, through joys and sorrows, feeling empathy and looking beyond our lives... That's why I like many Chinese and Japanese dramas, because they have this narrative sensitivity that captivates me. And of course I also enjoy Korean dramas...
