I watched episode 1. The acting of some actors felt forced; I felt like I was watching a soap opera. There are many plot holes that don’t make sense—is she dead? There’s no funeral? No one cries? The protagonist goes on living life the same way? Anyway, I don’t know.
After watching four episodes, I’m still convinced of the same thing — this J-drama was made to promote Suzuki Airi and her song. The performances of the two main leads are fine; there isn’t much emotion since it’s a comedy. Everything always happens in the same places — the locations change a bit, but they’re all familiar spots. The guest actors who were promoted on social media — some of whom can’t even act, like the foreign guy who appeared (god, that was so cringe) — only show up in one episode and for less than five minutes. I mean, each episode is only 24 minutes long, so there’s not much they can do — but it was a smart move to attract more viewers. The ending song is really good. I’ve already listened to the full version, and it’s definitely a Kami Kyoku (god-tier song). Suzuki Airi completely carries this J-drama with her facial expressions and charm. There’s no real story, though.
I’ve really enjoyed the first two episodes — it gives off the same energy as the original J-drama even though this one’s a spin-off. Both main characters act well; I’m used to Suzuki Airi’s acting, so the guy’s performance actually surprised me too.
As for the story, it’s pretty simple and entertaining — not very deep, but you get exactly what you’d expect. I feel like this J-drama mainly exists as an excuse to promote the ending song “一生☆キミ推し,” similar to how it was with “最強の推し!” Airi-chan received another kamikyoku (“god-tier song”) from Ōishi-san, as they say.
I really like the new song — it has that Christmas vibe, and I can’t wait to hear the full version.
Maybe cuz im a fanboy of the anime but i didnt like so much, But i really liked that was filmed in the real locations of the manga. I looking forward to see Mei-chan doing Takagi-san. This a drama site but, SEASON 4 OF THE ANIME PLS
Hmm. Its not bad but, its feel so j-dramappoi. Maybe i was hoping a Nishikata like anime yapping in his head saying TAKAGI-SAN MEE and a Nishikata more pro-active in SHOBUS. In Takagi-san, well, Acts very likely the anime ver but more comfy. I really like the use the really places of the manga/anime. I wait the movie with Mei-chan.
